What changed: Agent Observer imports Muse native sessions (tool calls, results, reads, skill invocations, run lifecycle, child links, catalog-proven MCP identity) and reports their activity, unknown or lower-bound usage, partial or unavailable activity coverage, and linked children without logs as gaps instead of zeros.
Why: Observer had no Muse adapter (#127), and existing consumers dropped response-less owned sessions, printed zero tokens for unmeasured usage and called log-less child sessions available.
So what: Independent review passed (R5) and the real native proof passed on the exact head; the PR is ready for the human's merge decision. Nothing is merged, installed or deployed.

Refs #127 (close only after the real-session proof). Implements the reviewed Spec (design R3 PASS, body e311b048…2f9f, comment).

Candidate

  • Base main 8ffae39c099a5ce1df2db8835f79bf8f68da5960; head 8288a92d970af2e09e4341ba4cf012b479f9a14c; tree 29ff58725d7095306a7fdcd45718647208191845.
  • Version 1.4.2 → 1.5.0 (minor: compatible capability; new JSON keys are additive), unchanged by the review fix. versionctl release-check: release candidate OK: v1.5.0 at 8288a92d.
  • Implementation review R1 on 5f6b7b4: FAIL, one P2 (findings); fixed in 4bc4f70. Implementation review R2 on 4bc4f70: FAIL, one P2 (findings); fixed in 9463a7a. Implementation review R3 on 9463a7a: FAIL, one P2 (findings); fixed in 9885e42. Implementation review R4 on 9885e42: FAIL, one P2 (findings); R1–R3 cleared; fixed in 8288a92. Implementation review R5 on 8288a92: PASS, 0 required, 0 optional (findings); review/independent success on 8288a92.

Changes by owner

  • adapters/muse.py (new): recheck_unchanged() before the unchanged fast path; whole-file reconstruction of changed sources; one tool_call and at most one tool_result per call_id; status from the terminal effect, UTF-8 size from the committed result, each NULL until seen; read per read_file, skill_invoke per read_skill; turn_started/turn_ended keyed by frame ids for payload.kind=run only; subagent_spawned plus child session rows; parent from actual <parent>/subagent/<child>/ layout only; consumed-variant schema checks with type-checked discriminators and terminal outcomes, each bad record quarantined alone (schema_error, missing_id, unsupported_schema) without setting the session identity or widening the span (call and result batches are validated whole and rejected whole), while the rest of the file imports; no prompts, results, reasons or usage stored.
  • ingest.insert_event(reconcile=True): callee-owned compare-before-update of all evidence columns; default and update paths unchanged.
  • privacy: tool_source closed enum plus mcp_server/mcp_tool identifiers on tool_call/tool_result; no privacy version bump.
  • report: response-less exclusively owned sessions contribute activity; unmeasured_sessions / usage_status (unknown or lower_bound) on attributed, shared_joint, scope_totals and affected phases (phase estimate loses its complete total), only for harnesses declaring model_usage=False; skill_invocations; activity_coverage from each contributing session's native harness; MCP results by tool_source (old mcp. rule only without it); unowned children of owned sessions in unbound_child_sessions.
  • lookup: a linked child with no backing source reads ledger_only (no_source).
  • cli/publish: lower-bound and unmeasured rendering, unmeasured sessions (N) row, skill column, unavailable and >=N (partial) cells; sessions list keeps usage_status.
  • t3: driver: muse strong refs map and bind like other exact-native-id harnesses.
  • Docs: docs/contracts.md (Muse section, reconcile, activity and unmeasured rules), README, skill one-liner, CHANGELOG.

tests/test_muse.py drives the public CLI (sync, task show text and JSON, publish --dry-run --json, sessions list/show/availability) on a synthetic fixture with real Muse frame shapes and invented ids and text. Literal oracles: 7 calls, 6 results (1 error), UTF-8 sizes 7/18/5/10/2 and one NULL, mcp only for the catalog entry (mcp__ghost__tool unknown, mcp.lookalike builtin), 2 read attempts, 1 skill invocation, 1 run start/end, 2 child links. Cases: split after every half line with a partial tail (result-before-terminal fills size, then status), unchanged re-sync writes 0, physical order differing from sequence, catalog after its call, unsupported consumed schema (unsupported_schema, key names only) versus skipped unconsumed kind, no free text in a full ledger dump, parent-first versus child-first equality (excluding sessions.source_id), late child log, directory/stream mismatch, Grok child without log, Muse-only/lower-bound/mixed-semantics/measured-only/known-zero/empty-shared usage, OpenCode-file-change and Claude-skill partial cells, Router-owned Codex capabilities, T3 strong versus weak Muse refs, lookup.show not_found.

Two existing tests changed: test_cli.test_runtime_never_touches_ccusage collapsed capabilities across harnesses into one dict (last row won), so it now asserts Codex model_usage explicitly; test_pr_checks_pending calls private _phase_report, which now also returns the session-context coverage.

Real native proof (exact head 8288a92, after R5 PASS and parent admission)

Private scratch on SSD, isolated HOME, explicit --db on two fresh ledgers; read-only input: the preserved root 01a155e5-036c-7000-9a32-992b3aa3648c (SHA-256 3725254f…2539) and its two preserved child logs (8ff6a266…3ce18, b0c2e998…eca208), hashes checked before and after. A Python audit hook on the real agent_observer entry point recorded every opened path: the only native files opened were those three copies; no live Muse session, ~/.t3 state or Observer ledger was opened. Commands: sync --harness muse --source per file (ledger A root first, ledger B children first), each re-synced; trace --session, trace --capabilities, sessions availability (machine and per child), sessions list; scratch-only capture create-task plus assign-session --exclusive for the root; task show text and JSON; publish --dry-run --json.

Required Observed
7 calls, 7 results (6 ok, 1 error) 7 tool_call, 7 tool_result: 6 ok, 1 error
5 read attempts, 1 skill 5 read (4 ok, 1 error), 1 skill_invoke (plugin:agentsmd:operations)
1 catalog MCP t3-code/web_read, 3,026 UTF-8 bytes call_01a155e5686875e09665bbf8bc5dadaa: tool_source mcp, t3-code/web_read, ok, size_bytes 3026; the other 6 calls builtin
1 run start, 1 end 1 turn_started, 1 turn_ended; turn muse:01a155e5-04d0-… completed
7 child links: 2 available, 5 ledger_only/no_source 7 subagent_spawned; machine availability 3 available (root plus 2 children), 5 ledger_only; each of the 5 direct queries ledger_only with no_source, the 2 present available
Present children: one call/result, no effects each: 1 call, 1 result with status NULL and size 26, 1 run start/end
Root-owned task attributed, scope and the phase: all buckets null, usage_status unknown, 1 unmeasured; shared_joint exact 0; phase estimate not complete, total null; activity 7 calls, 1 MCP result, 5 reads, 1 skill, 1 failed, file changes unavailable; 7 unbound_child_sessions; complete false; cost unknown
Task text and publication attributed responses: 0 total=unknown; 1 unmeasured sessions; publication unmeasured sessions (1) row with unknown buckets, activity row `7
Both orders, idempotent ledgers A and B equal on events (37), sessions (8), turns (3) and import errors (0), excluding insert-only sessions.source_id and import times; every re-sync unchanged=1, 0 inserted, 0 updated

Import errors 0 in both ledgers; responses 0. bin/agent-observer --version 1.5.0; worktree clean at 8288a92 / tree 29ff587 before and after. Private outputs, command log, ledgers and a 97-entry SHA-256 manifest stay outside Git.

Limits

  • Usage import stays deferred (output/reasoning semantics unknown). One Muse release (1.4.11) observed. Contents of the 5 absent child logs are unknown. Shared rules also change existing data: Grok child rows without logs now read ledger_only, and owned parents with unowned linked children are incomplete.
  • Agent cost comment posted from the existing local ledger without a new sync, so it reflects that ledger's last sync and is a floor (at least).
  • Website impact: none (this repository has no website).
  • Merge needs human approval; Muse native tool evidence: add a Muse adapter #127 closes only after merge.

Elon record

Requirements and who asked: User 2026-10-19: Muse support in Observer under #127, implementation and a reviewed PR, no merge/install/deploy; parent accepted design reviews R1, R2 and the R3 PASS.
Deleted: Usage import, new tables or saved join state, child auto-binding, record-supplied child paths, a privacy version bump, a delta-only parser.
Bottleneck: Independent exact-head implementation review.
Checked myself: Full suite, compile and version on the head; fail-before run on the exported base; release-check; literal fixture values against adapter output; ResourceWarning count equal to base (24).

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Add a read-only Muse adapter: one tool_call and at most one tool_result
per call_id, read and skill_invoke events, run lifecycle and child links,
with session-level MCP versus built-in identity. Changed files are parsed
whole and reconciled in place.

Report owned response-less sessions' activity, unknown or lower-bound
usage for harnesses that import no usage, partial or unavailable
activity coverage per native harness, unowned linked children, and
linked children without logs as ledger-only.

What: FAIL: independent implementation review found one required P2 parser-boundary correction in this exact candidate.
Why: Malformed consumed fields can abort sync or pass without the quarantine evidence required by #127's accepted Spec.
So what: The parent adjudicates R1 and requests an author fix, complete proof and fresh exact-head review; real native scratch-ledger acceptance remains pending after a passing review, with no merge/install/deploy authority.

Requirements and who asked: User-requested independent review of #127/PR #141 against the R3-approved Spec, native evidence, ownership, privacy and honest coverage, advancing Observer's native-evidence Objective.
Deleted: No new architecture/table/logger/join store, inferred usage, placeholder responses, source edits, additional agents, provider/native/browser/session launches, live database access or host changes. No dependency on Chromeria #423/PR #560.
Bottleneck: Validation and quarantine at the consumed-record parser boundary.
Checked myself: Full 23-file diff and PR body; current #127 body and all seven comments; complete R1/R2/R3 design reports and author responses; instructions/direction/connected glossaries and applicable Operations references; relevant callers; authenticated same-tree CI output; 22 focused tests and separate synthetic public-CLI boundary reproductions on an unchanged isolated export.

Required R1 (P2): validate consumed frame fields before interpreting them

Locations: adapters/muse.py:164, :215, :386.

The parser uses event.kind in a frozenset and outcome.kind as a dictionary key without validating their types. One malformed complete JSON frame therefore raises an uncaught TypeError, aborting the source import and CLI invocation instead of quarantining the record and retaining valid evidence. Other invalid consumed evidence passes silently, and the consumed tuple omits the Spec's tool_batch.effect.started and session.opened.observed variants.

Independent reproductions used the committed synthetic root fixture, changing only the named field, with one private scratch database per case. Command shape: python3 -m agent_observer --db <private.db> sync --harness muse --source <synthetic-copy.jsonl> --json (Python 3.14.7):

Fixture change Actual observation
First terminal record.outcome.kind = [] Exit 1, TypeError: cannot use 'list' as a dict key (unhashable type: 'list'); 0 events, 0 import errors.
First run frame event.kind = [] Exit 1, TypeError: cannot use 'list' as a set element (unhashable type: 'list'); 0 events, 0 import errors.
First terminal record.outcome = {} Exit 0, 20 events, no import error; failed fixture result call_r1 has NULL status.
First effect-started schema_version = 2 Exit 0, 20 events, no import error, despite the Spec's consumed-variant version gate.

Required correction: Validate consumed discriminator/field shapes at the existing parser owner before membership, hashing or evidence mutation; quarantine invalid consumed records with an existing closed category, structural ordinal and key-only excerpt, then continue. Apply the agreed version gate to the named consumed variants. Merely catching TypeError around the entire import would still lose valid evidence and omit per-record quarantine. Preserve silent skipping for the retained envelope, internal task events, deferred usage and deliberately unconsumed kinds.

Required proof: Add the wrong-type discriminator/outcome, missing terminal outcome and unsupported effect-started cases at the real parser/public CLI seam. Demonstrate that this head fails them and the corrected candidate preserves surrounding valid evidence with safe per-record errors and no invented status. Then complete required proof and obtain a fresh independent review of the new SHA. No optional refactor or replacement architecture is requested.

Exact candidate and proof limits

  • Head 5f6b7b4d9983814788c870c08cba668b30775060; tree 58614b5b2354045dd027843fc4446c5409bad644; base 8ffae39c099a5ce1df2db8835f79bf8f68da5960. Live PR identity and the clean frozen author worktree matched on the final check.
  • Independent reviewer: Codex gpt-6.1-sol, high effort; implementation author: the separately identified Claude Opus 5.5 agent. No source edits, checkout/reset/switch/pull, commit or push occurred.
  • Executed: all 22 focused Muse tests passed in 47.092 seconds; diff whitespace check passed; the separate boundary cases above reproduced R1. An initial export-permission setup error affected three fixture-copy tests; correcting only exported fixture modes allowed the unchanged tests to pass. All exported file bytes still matched the exact archive.
  • Reused after inspection: CI proof job passed 951 tests in 73.982 seconds, compileall and version 1.5.0. Its checked-out merge commit ce0db8091115c326fa71924a476386e742b90f52 has the reviewed base/head as parents and the identical reviewed tree, independently confirmed from GitHub's Git object. The author's separate local full-suite timing, release-check and base-export RED report were read but not independently rerun or treated as direct reviewer proof; the later 22nd test is not credited to the 21-test RED claim.
  • Inspected/cleared in this scope: append/reorder reconciliation and literal UTF-8/status/identity assertions; lifecycle key separation; bounded privacy filters; actual-layout child identity and availability; event-only activity and unknown/lower-bound phase/task/scope usage; cost incompleteness; preserved measured partial counts; CLI/publication consumers; strong Muse T3 joins; known-zero/mixed-semantics/other-adapter regression controls. No further supported blocker was established there. Existing positive/version tests do not cover R1's malformed consumed-field cases.
  • Still unverified: the real native root plus two-child scratch-ledger acceptance, native usage semantics, future Muse versions, absent child contents, live databases and fleet state. Real native proof was deliberately deferred until passing implementation review; its absence is not the cause of this FAIL. Synthetic arithmetic and CI do not satisfy it.

Verdict: FAIL, one required P2 finding for the exact head above. This comment is the findings target for authenticated review/independent=failure; a changed candidate needs its own proof and review. No merge or future-change approval is given.

Check run discriminators and terminal outcomes for type before use, so a
malformed record becomes a per-line schema_error instead of aborting the
import, and an unusable terminal leaves the result status unknown.
Version-gate effect-started and session-opened frames like the other
consumed variants. Unconsumed kinds stay silently skipped.

What: Review R1 is fixed in 4bc4f706a8610c7633f0123ca0a43f3fd48c96db (tree 8433c63353aa5a88a5db357d374b32670035afe0, base 8ffae39, still v1.5.0); full local proof and CI pass.
Why: The parser used event.kind and outcome.kind before checking their types, accepted an empty terminal outcome, and skipped the version gate for effect-started and session-opened frames.
So what: The candidate is frozen for a new independent implementation review of 4bc4f70; the real-session proof still waits for a passing review. This is not an author pass.

Response to R1, at the existing parser boundary in adapters/muse.py only:

  • A kind=run frame whose event.kind is not a string → schema_error before any membership test; _RUN_KINDS membership happens only on strings.
  • A terminal whose outcome is not an object or lacks a string kind → schema_error; no terminal is recorded, so a committed result keeps status NULL (unknown), never ok.
  • tool_batch.effect.started and session.opened.observed join the consumed list and its version gate; they add no evidence.
  • Each bad record is quarantined alone at its 0-based line number with top-level key names only; surrounding calls and results import. No catch-all around the import was added. The envelope, kind=task frames (including a malformed one) and usage stay silently skipped.

Proof:

  • tests/test_muse.py adds 5 public-CLI cases with literal oracles: outcome.kind=[] (schema_error at line 9; call_r1 result size 7, status NULL; every other event unchanged), empty outcome (same error; call_m1 still ok/18), run event.kind=[] (schema_error at line 4; only turn_started missing), kind=task event.kind=[] (no error; all events), effect-started schema_version 2 (unsupported_schema at line 8; all events).
  • Red on an export of 5f6b7b4 under /home/luke/.cache: 27 run, 4 failures (two TypeError CLI exits, two missing quarantines); the task-frame control passes there too.
  • After: python3 -m unittest tests.test_muse 27 OK; python3 -m unittest discover -s tests with TMPDIR on SSD Ran 956 tests in 185.163s OK; compileall exit 0; bin/agent-observer --version 1.5.0; git diff --check clean; versionctl release-check OK at 4bc4f70; CI run 39333082063 pass.
  • Unchanged: privacy allowlists, insert_event and reconciliation, report, CLI, publish, lookup, T3 and other adapters (diff touches only adapters/muse.py, tests/test_muse.py, docs/contracts.md).

Requirements and who asked: Parent-accepted independent review R1 (P2) on #141.
Deleted: A catch-all around the import, a parser redesign, a version bump.
Bottleneck: New independent review of 4bc4f70.
Checked myself: Red on exported 5f6b7b4, green focused and full suites, CI, release-check, diff scope.

What: FAIL: independent implementation review R2 found one required P2 correction on the exact candidate below.
Why: A malformed consumed record can change shared session state before quarantine, causing valid surrounding evidence to be discarded or the session span to be corrupted.
So what: The parent adjudicates R2, then obtains the bounded author fix, proof and fresh exact-head review; real native proof remains deferred, with no merge/install/deploy authority.

Requirements and who asked: User-requested fresh R2 review of #127/PR #141 against the accepted R3 Spec and R1's validation-before-evidence-mutation requirement, advancing Observer's trustworthy native-evidence Objective.
Deleted: No new architecture/table/logger/join store, inferred usage, placeholder responses, source edits, additional agents, provider/native/browser/session launches, live database access or host changes. No dependency on Chromeria #423/PR #560; no duplicate complete suite with current same-tree CI proof.
Bottleneck: Rejected consumed records have already mutated session identity/span.
Checked myself: Full cumulative diff and PR body/comments, current #127 and all seven comments, all four full prior review reports and hashes, instructions/direction/glossaries and applicable Operations references, relevant consumers, independent focused RED/GREEN, separate synthetic public-CLI boundary checks and authenticated exact-tree complete CI output.

Required R2-1 (P2): validate before committing session identity and span

Locations: adapters/muse.py:192, :171, :230.

The original TypeErrors are fixed, but _parse still commits state.session before validating terminal fields, and commits session timestamps before dispatch/version/variant validation. Calling bad(...); continue afterward does not undo those effects. This is the remaining R1 validation-before-mutation requirement, not a new architecture request.

Independent public-CLI reproductions used unchanged candidate implementation bytes, the committed synthetic root fixture and separate fresh scratch databases:

  • Copy the failed terminal at fixture line 9, set outcome.kind=[] and a different invented, well-shaped stream.id, then insert it at ordinal 1 before the first valid consumed frame; retain every original record. Expected: one schema_error, original root identity and all 20 original events. Actual: exit 0, 0 events, 24 errors (the one schema error plus 23 valid records rejected as identity_conflict), and only the invented session persisted. The rejected terminal established the identity that rejects the rest of the valid source.
  • In another fixture copy, change line 9 to outcome.kind=[] and recorded_at=1. Actual: the expected key-only schema_error at ordinal 9 and 20 events, but persisted root started_at is 0.000001 instead of the control's 1792442401.0; ended_at remains 1792442426.0. Rejection did not exclude the invalid record's timestamp.

Command shape: python3 -m agent_observer --db <scratch.db> sync --harness muse --source <synthetic-case.jsonl> --json, Python 3.14.7. No actual native transcript was opened or imported.

Required correction/proof: Validate consumed records before committing shared identity/span or other evidence effects. Add faithful public-CLI regressions asserting the malformed-first-record case retains the original session and 20 events with exactly one ordinal-1 key-only error and no invented session; assert rejected timestamps do not extend the valid span, while invalid terminal status remains NULL. Show these fail on this head and pass on the correction, preserve the existing focused cases and silent unconsumed skipping, then complete proof and obtain a fresh review. No catch-all, new store or generalized refactor is requested.

Identity, cleared concerns and proof limits

  • Head 4bc4f706a8610c7633f0123ca0a43f3fd48c96db; tree 8433c63353aa5a88a5db357d374b32670035afe0; base 8ffae39c099a5ce1df2db8835f79bf8f68da5960. Clean author worktree and live PR matched. Version 1.4.2 to 1.5.0 remains consistent.
  • Independent reviewer: Codex gpt-6.1-sol, high effort, through T3 Code; author agent: separately identified Claude Opus 5.5. Authenticated forge account is shared, lukemaj; independence is from implementation authorship.
  • Executed: current 27 focused tests PASS in 53.458s; the identical current test file on prior head 5f6b7b4 runs 27 tests with exactly four intended failures in 53.979s; diff check PASS; separate boundary reproductions above. Candidate export bytes stayed identical to its exact archive; only the prior export's test file was transplanted for RED. All test scratch was task-private on SSD.
  • Reused after inspection: CI proof job, 956 tests in 73.901s OK, compileall and version 1.5.0. Checkout 0f0d59d6e9bd532eafb2feeaa9ba8a022f9ab71c has the exact base/head as parents and the identical reviewed tree, confirmed through authenticated GitHub Git data. The author's separate local timing/release-check claims were read, not rerun or treated as direct reviewer proof.
  • Cleared within inspected scope: the four original R1 examples; explicit opened/effect-started version gates; per-record key-only errors, NULL invalid-terminal status, retained valid surrounding evidence in the existing tests, deliberately skipped task control; prior bounded reconciliation/privacy/child-availability/report/CLI/publication/T3 paths and valid existing-test changes. No further supported blocker or optional refactor was established there. R2-1 is the remaining quarantine side effect.
  • Unverified/deferred: real native root/two-child acceptance, native usage semantics, future versions, missing child contents, live databases and fleet state. Native proof still requires a passing independent implementation review and parent admission; its absence is not the reason for this FAIL. Synthetic fixtures and CI do not satisfy it.

Verdict: FAIL, one required P2 finding R2-1 for this exact head. Findings precede authenticated review/independent=failure; changed candidates require fresh proof and review. Parent owns adjudication; no merge or future-change approval is given.

A consumed record now establishes the session id and widens the session
span only after its validation passes. A rejected first record from
another stream can no longer claim the source, and a rejected record's
timestamp no longer moves started_at.

What: Review R2-1 is fixed in 9463a7a7e8d72b3f1f00ff9bb2dd0184b9a8fd2a (tree 3ffe0a7f0bdf3e0c2973899822d896a2a64bdb5a, base 8ffae39, still v1.5.0); full local proof and CI pass.
Why: The parser set state.session and widened the span before a consumed record's validation finished, so a rejected record could still claim the source or move started_at.
So what: The candidate is frozen for a new independent implementation review of 9463a7a; the real-session proof still waits for a passing review and parent admission. This is not an author pass.

Response to R2-1, in _parse only:

  • The version gate, stream-id check and identity comparison stay before dispatch, but no longer assign anything; an identity_conflict is raised only against an already accepted session.
  • Each consumed variant calls accept(sid, ts) only after its own checks pass. That is the single place that sets state.session and widens started_at/ended_at, immediately before the record's evidence is stored.
  • Well-formed unconsumed frames still widen the span as before; rejected consumed records (schema_error, missing_id, unsupported_schema, identity_conflict) change no state.
  • No catch-all, store or refactor; error categories, key-only excerpts and line ordinals unchanged. docs/contracts.md states the rule.

Proof:

What: FAIL: fresh independent implementation review R3 of exact head 9463a7a7e8d72b3f1f00ff9bb2dd0184b9a8fd2a retains one required P2 correction.
Why: Call/result batches accept session identity and span before checking required item ids, so a quarantined record can still discard valid evidence or corrupt its span.
So what: The parent adjudicates the bounded author correction, proof and fresh exact-head review; native acceptance remains deferred, with no merge/install/deploy authority.

Requirements and who asked: User-requested independent R3 review of #127/PR #141 against the accepted design and R1/R2's validation-before-evidence-mutation contract, advancing Observer's trustworthy native-evidence Objective.
Deleted: No new architecture, table, logger, join store, inferred usage, placeholder response, source edit, children, native/provider/browser/session launch, live database or host change. No duplicate full suite with exact-tree CI; no dependency on separate Chromeria #423/PR #560.
Bottleneck: Two batch branches still commit shared state before consumed-item validation.
Checked myself: Full cumulative 23-file diff, PR body/four comments, current #127/all seven comments, five full prior reports/hashes, instructions/direction/glossaries/Operations references, bounded consumers, independent 29-test GREEN and prior-head RED, seven separate public-CLI cases and authenticated exact-tree complete CI output.

Required R3-1 (P2): validate batch items before accepting identity/span or evidence

Locations: adapters/muse.py:281 and :301, before rejection at lines 285-287 and 304-306.

Both assistant_tool_calls_committed and tool_result_batch_committed call accept(sid, ts) after checking only the list container. Missing item call_id/name or tool_call_id is rejected afterward with missing_id, after the record has set state.session and extended the span. These are fields the parser already rejects. This is the remaining R2-1 invariant, not a new design requirement.

Independent reproductions used unchanged candidate bytes, the exact committed synthetic root fixture and a fresh scratch database per case. Retain every original record, copy ordinal 7 (call batch) or ordinal 13 (result batch), set its tool_calls or results to [{}], and insert it at ordinal 1:

  • With the inserted record's stream.id changed to an invented well-shaped UUID, both batches produce exit 0, 0 events and 24 errors, with only the invented session persisted and sources.session_id pointing to it. The first error is key-only missing_id at ordinal 1, followed by 23 identity_conflict errors on valid original consumed records. Required: one error, original root identity, all 20 original events and no invented session.
  • With the original root id and inserted recorded_at=1, both batches produce one ordinal-1 missing_id and all 20 unchanged original events, but started_at=0.000001 rather than the control's 1792442401.0; ended_at=1792442426.0 remains unchanged. Rejection still widens the span.

Command: python3 -m agent_observer --db <private.db> sync --harness muse --source <synthetic-copy.jsonl> --json, Python 3.14.7. All local scratch/export/TMPDIR storage was private SSD space. No real native transcript was opened or imported.

Required correction/proof: Validate consumed batch items before committing the record's shared identity/span or evidence effects at the existing parser owner. Preserve per-record key-only quarantine and valid surrounding evidence. Add faithful CLI regressions for both batches asserting exactly one ordinal-1 error, original root/source identity and 20 events, no invented session, and unchanged valid span; exercise mixed valid/invalid items so a rejected record cannot commit a prefix. Show failure on this head and success on the correction, retain all 29 cases, complete proof and obtain fresh exact-head review. No catch-all, saved store or general refactor is requested.

Cleared scope and proof limits

  • R2 terminal examples cleared: independently observed exactly one ordinal-1 schema_error, original root plus two linked children, original source identity and 20 original events; timestamp example has one ordinal-9 error, unchanged span (1792442401.0, 1792442426.0), call_r1 result status NULL/size 7. R1 discriminator/outcome/version and silent-task controls stay green.
  • Head 9463a7a7e8d72b3f1f00ff9bb2dd0184b9a8fd2a; tree 3ffe0a7f0bdf3e0c2973899822d896a2a64bdb5a; base 8ffae39c099a5ce1df2db8835f79bf8f68da5960; version 1.4.2 to 1.5.0 unchanged by the fix. Frozen author worktree and live PR/branch refs matched, source stayed clean/read-only. Reviewer Codex gpt-6.1-sol, high effort; author separately identified Claude Opus 5.5. Authenticated forge account lukemaj is shared; independence is from implementation authorship.
  • Executed: 29 focused tests PASS in 59.985s; identical current test file on prior 4bc4f706 runs 29 with exactly the two intended R2-terminal failures in 60.880s; diff check PASS; seven separate CLI boundary cases above. Candidate export file bytes still match its archive; the prior export differs solely in the intentionally transplanted test file.
  • Reused after inspection: CI proof job, 958 tests in 55.453s OK, compileall and version 1.5.0. Checkout 717746065077b3534b56c30992eb67872640a94e has exactly the reviewed base/head as parents and the identical tree, verified through authenticated GitHub Git data. Author local 173.750s/release-check claims were read, not rerun or substituted for this direct CI evidence. Original base RED remains 21 tests, 18 failures/3 errors, not the latest 29.
  • No further supported finding in bounded inspected scope: reconstruction/reconciliation, privacy, catalog identity, native sequence/run keys, child layout/availability/no auto-ownership, exact strong T3 refs, event-only phases and ownership partitions, unknown/lower-bound usage, incomplete phase cost, known-zero/empty-shared/mixed-semantics controls and native-harness partial activity through public CLI/publication. Accepted design findings remain settled.
  • Deferred/unverified: real root plus two-child native acceptance, native usage semantics, future versions, absent child contents, live databases and fleet state. Native proof requires passing implementation review plus parent admission, and its absence is not this FAIL's cause. Synthetic fixtures and CI do not satisfy native acceptance.

Verdict: FAIL, one required P2 R3-1 for this exact head. Findings precede authenticated review/independent=failure; no future-change approval, merge or native-proof admission is given.

Call and result batches now validate every item before the record may
set the session identity, widen the span or store any item. A batch with
any item missing its ids is rejected whole as one missing_id, so a
rejected batch leaves no prefix and cannot claim the source.

What: Review R3-1 is fixed in 9885e42a780afba0a07c4112f4f50513abc893ee (tree 9917acb7d9baf7b39421873ee5f17a96c6a96d52, base 8ffae39, still v1.5.0); full local proof on the exact tree and CI pass.
Why: Call and result batches called accept(sid, ts) after checking only that the list existed, then rejected bad items, so a rejected batch could still claim the session, widen the span or keep a valid prefix.
So what: The candidate is frozen for a new independent implementation review of 9885e42; the real-session proof still waits for a passing review and parent admission. This is not an author pass.

Response to R3-1, in _parse only:

  • assistant_tool_calls_committed and tool_result_batch_committed now build their validated item list first. Any item lacking call_id/name or tool_call_id rejects the whole record as one missing_id; only a fully valid batch calls accept and then stores its items. A mixed batch leaves nothing.
  • Audit of every consumed branch: each rejection path (unsupported_schema, missing_id stream, identity_conflict, catalog schema_error, terminal missing_id/schema_error, run missing_id for run id or frame id, batch schema_error/missing_id, link missing_id) now runs before that branch's accept, and no branch calls bad() after accept. Remaining post-accept handling only ignores optional content without rejecting the record: catalog entries lacking fields, a non-list toolset, undecodable args (no target) and non-string result text (NULL size). Unconsumed kinds stay silently skipped; unknown result status stays NULL.
  • No catch-all, store or framework; categories, key-only excerpts and line ordinals unchanged. docs/contracts.md states the batch rule.

Proof:

  • New public-CLI cases with literal oracles. For both batches, an edited copy with list [{}] is inserted at line 1. With a foreign stream: exactly [("missing_id", 1, <frame keys>)], sessions exactly root plus its two children, sources.session_id the root, span (1792442401.0, 1792442426.0), all 20 original root events. With recorded_at=1: the same single error, unchanged span and 20 events. Mixed call batch (line 7, valid call_r1 plus {"name": "read_file"}): one missing_id at 7, and neither call_r1 nor call_m1 imported. Mixed result batch (line 13): one missing_id at 13, and both results keep only terminal status (error, ok) with NULL size.
  • Red on an export of 9463a7a under /home/luke/.cache: 33 run, exactly the 4 new tests fail (6 subtests); the earlier 29 pass there.
  • After: tests.test_muse 33 OK; python3 -m unittest discover -s tests with TMPDIR on SSD on the exact committed tree Ran 962 tests in 196.884s OK; compileall 0; --version 1.5.0; git diff --check clean; versionctl release-check OK at 9885e42; CI run 39336674552 pass.
  • Diff since 9463a7a: adapters/muse.py, tests/test_muse.py, docs/contracts.md only.

Requirements and who asked: Parent-accepted independent review R3-1 (P2) on #141, with an audit of every consumed branch.
Deleted: Per-item partial acceptance, a catch-all, a parser redesign, a version bump.
Bottleneck: New independent review of 9885e42.

What: FAIL: independent implementation review R4 of exact head 9885e42a780afba0a07c4112f4f50513abc893ee has one required P2 finding; the former quarantine findings are cleared.
Why: Muse skips the shared source owner's final unchanged recheck, so a valid append before its fast return is missed until a second sync.
So what: The parent adjudicates R4-1 and obtains the bounded author correction, proof and fresh exact-head review; native acceptance remains deferred, with no merge/install/deploy or fleet authority.

Requirements and who asked: User-requested fresh independent R4 review of #127/PR #141 against the approved design, validation-before-mutation and existing caller/owner contracts, advancing Observer's trustworthy native-evidence Objective.
Deleted: No architecture/table/logger/join store, inferred usage, placeholder responses, author-source edits, children, provider/native/browser/session launches, live databases or host changes. No duplicate full suite with authenticated exact-tree CI; no dependency on separate merged Chromeria #423/PR #560.
Bottleneck: The new Muse fast path omits existing final source revalidation.
Checked myself: Full cumulative 23-file diff and latest delta; PR body/all six comments, current #127/current Spec/all seven comments, all six full prior reports and hashes, instructions/direction/glossaries/Operations references, bounded consumers, independent 33-test GREEN/prior-head RED, 14 public-CLI rejection-path checks, separate public-CLI append-race reproduction, authenticated exact-tree complete CI output.

Required R4-1 (P2): recheck the source before returning unchanged

Location: adapters/muse.py:403-405.

import_muse_file returns on the initial src.unchanged flag without calling recheck_unchanged(). The shared source owner explicitly requires a recheck immediately before this return so an append racing the initial check is imported in the same sync (ingest.py:14-16, method at line 182). Codex/Claude and Grok honor that contract; the existing test_append_racing_the_unchanged_check_is_imported_same_sync protects it. This is a missed existing caller obligation, not a new acceptance requirement or architecture request.

Independent reproduction: Fresh scratch ledger, exact committed synthetic root fixture. Import only fixture lines 0 through 7 through public cli.main --db ... sync --harness muse --source ... --json: 4 events. On the next invocation, append the remaining complete lines immediately after real JsonlSource.__init__ detects unchanged and before the adapter's fast-return conditional. Only external file-write timing is injected; parser, CLI, writer and SQLite remain real and unchanged.

Actual: exit 0, unchanged=1, zero inserted/updated events, no errors, still 4 events, although the full file is already on disk. A third ordinary sync imports 16 and updates 3, reaching the expected 20 events. Results, later calls, lifecycle end and child links are stale for one sync; this does not establish permanent loss. Python 3.14.7; all sources/databases/exports/TMPDIR used private SSD scratch, with no actual native transcript imported.

Required correction/proof: Call the existing recheck_unchanged() at this fast-path boundary, preserving whole-file reconstruction on detected growth. Add a deterministic Muse regression for a valid append after initial unchanged detection, asserting literal same-sync events/results and source offsets; demonstrate failure on this candidate, then success on the correction. Preserve unchanged zero writes and all 33 current cases, complete exact-candidate proof and obtain fresh review. No store, catch-all or framework is needed.

Cleared findings and proof limits

  • R1/R2/R3 cleared: Both batches validate every required item before accept or evidence writes; mixed batches retain no prefix. Every explicit rejection path in consumed branches precedes acceptance. Optional partial catalog/toolset/argument/text evidence stays optional under the approved Spec. The separate 14/14 passing CLI rejection matrix checks version/stream/discriminator/catalog/terminal/run/frame/batch/child failures at ordinal 1 with foreign identity/early timestamp: exactly one closed key-only error, original root/source identity, 20 original events and unchanged valid span.
  • Identity: head 9885e42a780afba0a07c4112f4f50513abc893ee; tree 9917acb7d9baf7b39421873ee5f17a96c6a96d52; base 8ffae39c099a5ce1df2db8835f79bf8f68da5960. Frozen author worktree and live refs matched; version remains one 1.4.2 to 1.5.0 transition. Reviewer Codex gpt-6.1-sol, high effort; author separately identified Claude Opus 5.5. Independence is from implementation authorship; authenticated forge account lukemaj is shared.
  • Executed: 33 Muse tests PASS in 66.090s. Identical current tests on prior 9463a7a run 33 in 66.470s, exactly the four new tests fail in six subtests for the intended R3 consequences; earlier 29 pass. Diff check and exported-byte integrity PASS. Candidate export matches its archive; prior export differs only in the transplanted test file. Original-base RED remains 21 tests with 18 failures/3 errors.
  • Reused after direct inspection: CI proof job, 962 tests in 79.661s OK, compileall and version 1.5.0. Authenticated checkout 8873819b20e2f636e826cb56a9a1e8493081dc78 has exact base/head parents and identical candidate tree. Author local full-suite timing/release-check claims were read, not independently rerun or substituted for this proof. CI does not cover the new race reproduction.
  • Other bounded owners: No additional supported finding in reconciliation/default/update behavior, privacy/catalog identity, native sequence/run keys, child layout/availability/no auto-ownership, strong exact T3 references, event-only phases, usage partitions, unknown/lower-bound usage, incomplete phase cost, known-zero/empty-shared/mixed-semantics controls or native-harness partial activity through CLI/publication.
  • Deferred/unverified: Real root/two-child native acceptance, usage semantics, future versions, absent child contents, live databases and fleet state. Native proof still requires passing review plus parent admission; its absence is not this FAIL's cause. Synthetic fixtures and CI do not satisfy native acceptance.

Verdict: FAIL, one required P2 R4-1 for this exact head. Findings precede authenticated review/independent=failure; no future-change approval, merge or native-proof admission is given.

Call JsonlSource.recheck_unchanged() immediately before the unchanged
fast path, as the Claude, Codex and Grok adapters do, so an append that
lands after the initial check is imported in the same sync.

What: Review R4-1 is fixed in 8288a92d970af2e09e4341ba4cf012b479f9a14c (tree 29ff58725d7095306a7fdcd45718647208191845, base 8ffae39, still v1.5.0); full local proof on the exact tree and CI pass.
Why: import_muse_file returned on the initial src.unchanged flag without the JsonlSource.recheck_unchanged() call the ingest contract requires, so an append landing after the first check waited for the next sync.
So what: The candidate is frozen for a new independent implementation review of 8288a92; the real-session proof still waits for a passing review and parent admission. This is not an author pass.

Response to R4-1:

  • adapters/muse.py: if src.unchanged and src.recheck_unchanged(): return {"unchanged": True}. A detected change falls through to the existing whole-file reconstruction (offset reset to 0) and finish. No new helper, store or retry.
  • Audit: every JsonlSource caller now rechecks before its unchanged fast path (Claude claude.py:346, Codex codex.py:777, Grok grok.py:1535-1640, Muse). OpenCode, T3 and Router read databases, not JsonlSource, and are unchanged.

Proof:

  • New test test_append_after_the_initial_check_is_imported_same_sync drives the real cli.main sync, writer, SQLite and source file. Lines 0–7 of the fixture first import (unchanged, inserted, updated) = (0, 4, 0) and 4 root events. On the next sync, the remaining complete lines are appended right after the real JsonlSource.__init__ finds the source unchanged, before the adapter's fast path. That same sync gives (0, 16, 3), all 20 literal root events (EXPECTED), and sources.read_offset and size_bytes both equal to the full fixture byte length. A following sync gives (1, 0, 0).
  • Red on an export of 9885e42 under /home/luke/.cache: 34 run, exactly this test fails with (1, 0, 0) != (0, 16, 3); the earlier 33 (including unchanged zero-write, appends, partial lines, reordering, quarantine, known-zero and privacy controls) pass there.
  • After: tests.test_muse 34 OK; python3 -m unittest discover -s tests with TMPDIR on SSD on the exact committed tree Ran 963 tests in 191.031s OK; compileall 0; --version 1.5.0; git diff --check clean; versionctl release-check OK at 8288a92; CI run 39338459424 pass.
  • Diff since 9885e42: adapters/muse.py (3 lines) and tests/test_muse.py only.

Requirements and who asked: Parent-accepted independent review R4-1 (P2) on #141.
Deleted: A new helper, retry loop or store.
Bottleneck: New independent review of 8288a92.
Checked myself: Recheck at all JsonlSource fast paths, red on exported 9885e42, green focused and full suites on the exact tree, CI, release-check, diff scope.

What: PASS: independent implementation review R5 of PR #141 at 8288a92d970af2e09e4341ba4cf012b479f9a14c has no required or optional finding in the inspected scope.
Why: Muse now rechecks the source immediately before returning unchanged and rebuilds the complete source on detected growth; independent append proof and prior quarantine controls pass.
So what: The parent adjudicates this exact-head source PASS and owns admission of the deferred real root plus two-child scratch-ledger proof; merge, install, deploy and fleet actions remain unauthorized.

Requirements and who asked: The user's R5 brief for Observer #127/PR #141 requires the accepted R3 Spec, existing source-owner contracts, privacy, honest coverage and independent exact-candidate review. This advances the Objective's native evidence and visible gaps.
Deleted: No architecture change, new store/logger, inferred usage, placeholder responses, source edits, children, native/provider/session/browser launches, live database/host changes or duplicate complete suite with authenticated same-tree CI. No dependency on separate Chromeria #423/PR #560.
Bottleneck: Establish whether the final-source recheck fixes R4-1 without regressing previously cleared behavior.
Checked myself: Full PR body/cumulative diff, current Issue/Spec and all seven comments, seven complete prior reports and matching hashes, all four full author responses including 6279204013, actual instructions/direction/glossaries and applicable Operations references, JsonlSource owner/callers and bounded consumers; independent focused and boundary proof, authenticated CI checkout/parents/tree/full test output.

Findings and prior dispositions

Required: 0. Optional: 0. R4-1 cleared; R1/R2/R3 remain cleared.

adapters/muse.py:406 calls the existing recheck_unchanged() immediately before the fast return. Detected growth falls through to start_offset=0, the existing whole-file reconstruction, event reconciliation and finish. The R5 delta touches only muse.py and its regression test. I inspected all JsonlSource callers and its reset/recheck/records/finish boundaries; no further concrete protocol omission was established.

The new test schedules only a real external file append after the actual constructor detects unchanged. The real public cli.main, parser, writer and SQLite produce (unchanged, inserted, updated) of (0,4,0), then the same raced sync (0,16,3), all 20 literal root events and full source byte offsets, then (1,0,0). Transplanting that unchanged test onto prior 9885e42 independently fails exactly at (1,0,0) != (0,16,3). A separate CLI replay confirms the same-sync 4-to-20 transition. This fixes a one-sync delay, not a claimed permanent loss.

The independent 14-case consumed-rejection matrix passes again: one closed/key-only error at ordinal 1, original root and two child rows, original source association, 20 root events and unchanged span. Whole-batch validation remains before acceptance. Whole-file joins, NULL unknown status/size, catalog identity, privacy, safe child layout, child-owned availability, explicit ownership, event-only activity, honest usage partitions/phase costs/partial activity coverage, native capability identity and exact strong T3 joins remain consistent with the accepted design in the inspected paths. No new architecture or policy is requested.

Candidate, independence and proof

  • Head 8288a92; tree 29ff58725d7095306a7fdcd45718647208191845; base 8ffae39. Live PR/branch refs matched and both author/main checkouts remained clean. Version remains 1.4.2 to 1.5.0, with no privacy-version bump.
  • Reviewer Codex, gpt-6.1-sol, high effort, T3 Code, independent of the Claude Opus 5.5 implementation author. Authenticated forge account lukemaj is shared, not a claim of different human authorship.
  • Executed: 34 focused tests OK in 52.050s on a fresh private SSD export; the new test alone on prior 9885e42 has one intended failure in 0.721s; 14/14 negative CLI cases; separate append replay; export byte integrity; cumulative diff hygiene. Candidate source files remain byte-identical to git archive. The original base RED remains 21 tests with 18 failures/3 errors; I did not claim it covered all 34.
  • Reused: authenticated CI run 39338459424 / proof job 118353772311. Checkout 7ca6437 has exactly this base/head as parents and this exact head tree. Full log: 963 tests in 64.722s, OK, compileall success and version 1.5.0, Python 3.13.16; October 20 00:57:25 to 00:58:35 Europe/Warsaw. No duplicate full local suite.
  • Read only as author claims: separate local 963/191.031s timing, local release-check and earlier RED runs. Unverified/deferred: real native root/two-child scratch proof, usage-counter semantics, future versions, missing child contents, live databases and fleet state.

The real native proof remains a subsequent parent-owned gate, including 7 calls/results, 6 ok/1 error, 5 reads, 1 skill, 1 catalog MCP web_read with 3,026 UTF-8 wrapper bytes, 7 child links, 2 available/5 missing child logs, 7 unowned child gaps, unknown usage/cost, both import orders and idempotency. It was deliberately not run during source review. This PASS neither waives that proof nor supplies merge/install/deploy authority.

What: The real native proof passed on exact head 8288a92d970af2e09e4341ba4cf012b479f9a14c (tree 29ff58725d7095306a7fdcd45718647208191845, base 8ffae39, v1.5.0): the preserved Muse root and its two child logs import with every required count, both import orders agree, and re-sync writes nothing.
Why: The #127 Spec admits this proof only after an independent implementation review passes; R5 passed (review/independent success, id 56741408548, by lukemaj) and the parent admitted the proof.
So what: #141 is ready for the human's merge decision; nothing is merged, installed or deployed. #127 stays open until the merge.

Observed against required (private scratch on SSD, isolated HOME, explicit --db, two fresh ledgers; inputs read-only, hashes 3725254f…2539, 8ff6a266…3ce18, b0c2e998…eca208 checked before and after):

  • Root: 7 tool_call, 7 tool_result (6 ok, 1 error), 5 read (4 ok, 1 error), 1 skill_invoke, 1 turn_started, 1 turn_ended, 7 subagent_spawned; 0 responses, 0 import errors.
  • MCP: exactly one, call_01a155e5686875e09665bbf8bc5dadaa, tool_source mcp, t3-code/web_read, ok, 3,026 bytes; the other 6 calls builtin.
  • Children: present 2 available with 1 call and 1 result each (status NULL, size 26); absent 5 ledger_only (no_source) in machine and direct queries.
  • Scratch-only root ownership: attributed, scope and phase buckets null, usage_status unknown; empty shared exact 0; phase estimate not complete; file changes unavailable; 7 unbound child sessions; cost unknown; text total=unknown; 1 unmeasured sessions; publication shows the unmeasured row and no $0.00.
  • Order parity: ledgers equal on 37 events, 8 sessions, 3 turns and 0 errors, excluding insert-only sessions.source_id and import times; every re-sync unchanged=1, 0 inserted, 0 updated.
  • Isolation: an audit hook on the real agent_observer entry point shows the only native files opened were the three preserved copies; no live Muse session, ~/.t3 state or Observer ledger was opened. Worktree clean at the head before and after; no source change.

Full table: #141 body. Private command log, outputs, ledgers and SHA-256 manifest stay outside Git.

Requirements and who asked: #127 Spec required proof, admitted by the parent after R5 PASS.
Deleted: Whole-history sync, T3 or live-ledger reads, any source change.
Bottleneck: Human merge decision on #141.
Checked myself: All counts read from the scratch ledgers and CLI outputs; input hashes before and after; opened-path audit; git state.

What: Parent acceptance is complete for #127 / PR #141 on exact8288a92d970af2e09e4341ba4cf012b479f9a14c; independent source review, complete CI and real native proof pass.
Why: The actual saved Muse root plus its two child logs produce the required counts, privacy and missing-evidence behavior, without reading live native history or using the installed ledger.
So what: This separate Observer PR is ready for the human merge decision; no Observer merge, install, deployment or fleet action is authorized or performed, and #127 stays OPEN until merge.

Parent independently inspected the native driver and analyzer, all30 command exit records, actual scratch databases opened read-only, CLI task/publication JSON and the97-entry SHA256 manifest (97match/0mismatch). Both import orders contain37events/8sessions/3turns/0importerrors/0responses. Root:7toolcalls/7results(6ok1error),5reads,1skill,9lifecycleevents(1start/1end/7childlinks). Exactlyone catalog MCP result is t3-code/web_read, statusok,3026UTF8bytes; other6callsbuiltin. Explicit task attribution/scope/phase usage buckets areNULL/unknown, emptysharedpart exact0, phase estimate incomplete, filechangesNULL/unavailable,7unboundchildren, publicationcostunknown/no$0.00. Two existing childlogs areavailable, five absentlogs ledger_only/no_source. Re-sync inserted/updated0; semantic order comparisons match as approved.

The command audit has22 exits0,7 expected availability exits3 for partial/missing evidence, and one initial module --version exit2 because that form is unsupported; the separate supported bin/agent-observer --version output is1.5.0. No native-import command failed. Audit-path matches under .t3/worktrees refer to candidate Python source/modules, not live .t3/userdata; no native paths outside the3preserved copies were opened. The private audit/manifest is retained outside Git, and no raw native text, prompts, arguments or account values are published.

Canonical source review R5 PASS0required0optional: #141 (comment) , authenticated exact-head review/independent success56741408548. Complete same-tree CI963testsPASS, run39338459424. Real-proof canonical handoff: #127 (comment) . Version1.5.0; current base8ffae39c099a5ce1df2db8835f79bf8f68da5960/tree29ff58725d7095306a7fdcd45718647208191845. Source and proof stay frozen. Remaining known limits: native usage-counter semantics unimported; only Muse1.4.11 observed; five absent child contentsunknown; disclosed shared missing-child completeness behavior.

Cost comment6279336221 is a measured lower bound from the existing ledger, not complete billing. This separate Observer outcome is not covered by the prior Chromeria#560 merge approval. Chromeria source is already merged and fleet ownership belongs to the daily coordinator; no competing rollout starts here.

Requirements and who asked: User requested Muse support follow-up with an assigned agent; accepted Spec requires independent source review and bounded actual-native proof before readiness.
Deleted: Synthetic-only acceptance, zeroes for unmeasured usage, whole-history import and inferred Observer merge/install authority.
Bottleneck: Human approval to merge this separate ready PR.
Checked myself: Exact current source/CI/review, full native driver/outputs,97artifacthashes, read-only actual two-ledger counts, report meaning, expected nonzero exits and source-read isolation.
