Intel Quick Sync can reject the default planar YUV input and send an Iris Xe machine into CPU encoding. Select supported NV12 input for H.264/HEVC, perform the BGRA conversion, and try the remaining hardware backends before falling back to software. Preserve driver errors in the host log. Service queued audio between video datagrams throughout large frames, including after the pacing budget expires, and record each host audio drop reason.

Windows and iPad now retain support diagnostics across launches and automatically upload them in configured releases. Reports include app/build, installation and session identifiers, hardware/OS information, encoder/decoder failures and stream statistics. Uploads use a bounded disk outbox, retry with exact batch acknowledgements, redact credentials and expose sharing controls in Settings. Release workflows receive only an ingest credential. The diagnostics service, database and operator console are maintained separately and are absent from this change and its commit history.

Validation:

  • Native Windows Clippy with warnings denied, uploader tests, optimized portable build and delivery to the hosted service.
  • 160 iOS unit tests and a configured unsigned Release archive pass in hosted CI. Native diagnostics UI coverage verifies copying, the named text document in the share sheet, enabled share actions and dismissal. Unit tests verify exported file contents, persistence and redaction. Connection/settings UI interactions and app screenshot checks pass.
  • Native macOS GUI integration test passes after reviewing and updating the Settings scrollbar reference for the added diagnostics section.
  • Native pairing and three background/foreground cycles pass after fixing HUD and screenshot timing in the UI tests.
  • All 151 Rust library tests and Clippy with warnings denied pass after the audio sender change. Thirty-second UDP audio has zero loss; USB audio stays within the unchanged loss limit. A 1440p/40 Mbps run with one IDR per second also passes with zero audio/video loss.
  • Rust formatting, 62 script tests, version/notes checks and plist validation.
  • App/build/test files match the tested implementation; source and history checks exclude backend files and production credentials.

The affected Intel Iris Xe / Windows 10 combination and physical iPad M5 remain unverified. Existing customer builds require an update to receive these fixes and automatic uploads.
