The 3.8.0 release announced the retirement; 4.0.0 makes it final. The README and the changelog state that the generator is retired, why, and how to migrate: a closed hierarchy or a union with a switch expression replaces the generated Match. Documentation only.closedhierarchy or aunionwith aswitchexpression replaces the generatedMatch) and that the final 1.2.x version stays on NuGet for the 3.x line.The counterpart in polyadic/funcky-discriminated-union is a follow-up PR on its announcement PR #23 that turns "retiring" into "retired" and adds the migration recipe to the readme and the package description. Two steps remain for the maintainer once that is merged: publish the final 1.2.2 (so the retired notice reaches NuGet), deprecate the package on nuget.org as legacy, and archive the repository.
