mini (Apple M4) is a full-time aprender build host: macOS/arm64 CI leg + runner re-registration (operator 2026-09-13) #3204
Operator ruling 2026-09-13 (verbatim): "always watching gx10, yoga, mini (you need this to be fulltime aprender build slave as well) optimization".
Measured 2026-09-13T10:05Z: the mini-m4 runner registration had been auto-deleted by GitHub on 2026-09-12 (Registration was not found or is not medium trust … Runner registrations are automatically deleted for runners that have not connected to the service recently), and NO aprender workflow selects a macOS runner — every job names Linux or a clean-room docker pool, so mini could take nothing even when online.
Done at 10:07Z: re-registered via the infra recipe (make -C machines/mini runner-register shape) with labels self-hosted,macOS,ARM64,apple-silicon,m4,mini (opt-in box label mini, per the one-box rule) — online, idle.
This ticket: a macos-arm64 job in ci.yml on mini (not a required check: one runner, 16 GB), the actionlint label allow-list, and the nightly aarch64-apple-darwin target that nightly.yml says "comes back when a box for them does". paiml/infra README policy flip is a sibling PR.
Milestone 0.70.0 → 0.70.1 (gate triage). 0.70.0 now holds only the operator's release gate: "FULL ontology spec and all aprender binary working" + "0.70 to crates.io" (ONT-001, every [[bin]] build+smoke, the publish cascade), plus P0s and operator-ruled rows. This issue isn't needed for any of those. Evidence: evidence/m070-gate-triage-1835.md. If that's wrong, move it back to 0.70.0 and say which gate it serves.
A non-required job on the PR path is a report-only row, and the gate/lab rule bans that third state on a PR path. A check that cannot block a merge runs at night instead, and it already does: mac-check (locked workspace check + CLI lib tests on macOS) in nightly.yml
Proposed: close as done, with the ci.yml row folded into the nightly mac-check lane. Closing is the triage owner's call, not this lane's.
