Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
ZCode and OpenCode patching can wait for the app to close before continuing.
ZCode launches now resolve the required provider configuration automatically; RAM-limit prompts support visible and hidden-console launches.
ZCode’s menu adds an option to remove clone shortcuts, and OpenCode’s clone options have updated menu positions.
Clone shortcuts and launcher labels now use color-based names.
Bug Fixes
Improved OpenCode clone patch support for version 2.2.5.0.
Documentation
Updated setup and menu guidance for launcher changes.
Retired
AutoClaw v1.20 tools and suite have been removed; AutoClaw2 remains available.
Second wave (2026-11-01, repo-hygiene run)
fix(ci): drop retired tools/patch_autoclaw_ports.mjs from the CI node-engine check — the file was removed with the v1.20 sunset but the workflow still listed it, so every run failed with MODULE_NOT_FOUND after Pester had already passed.
feat(clones): shortcut naming unified to <Suite> <Color> across the four suites — ZCode wrappers renamed to Launch-ZCode-Blue/Yellow/Green/Red/Orange.bat (matching the window titles), all four installers gain legacy-name cleanup on every run, launcher console title follows. Technical keys stay frozen (ZCode Second..Sixth / AUMID suffixes 2..6; newer suites c1..cN).

Walkthrough
The changes update ZCode launch and bridge behavior, revise ZCode and OpenCode menu actions, and add wait-for-close options to both patchers. They update the OpenCode clone-home patch for version 2.2.5.0, standardize clone shortcut names, and remove the AutoClaw v1.20 suite and related tracked files.
The light launcher and T3 bridge select a bundled provider config or the newest runtime-cache copy. They set ZCODE_BUILTIN_PROVIDER_CONFIG_FILE and fail if neither config is available.
The RAM guard uses a visible-console prompt, a hidden-console Yes/No dialog, or continues with a warning for noninteractive launches. Watchdog relaunches pass -NonInteractive.
The patcher can wait for ZCode to close, using two consecutive clear checks and a configurable timeout. GHOST.bat passes -WaitForClose.
Menu dispatch and render checks GHOST.bat, .bat-harness-test.ps1, AGENTS.md, CHANGELOG.md, docs/cli.md, docs/APP_CLONING_PLAYBOOK.md
The ZCode menu adds shortcut removal at option 29 and updates labels and dispatch. Harness checks cover menu rendering, unsafe ampersands, and CMD command errors.
The v1.20 clone launcher, reset script, shortcut installer, port patchers, and specification are deleted.
Update suite references and AutoClaw2 wiring README.md, docs/README.md, docs/architecture.md, docs/getting-started.md, AGENTS.md, tools/new_clone_suite.ps1, CHANGELOG.md
Repository references identify AutoClaw2 as the active suite and describe its GHOST.bat menu rows. Documentation records the v1.20 removal and recovery locations.

Exclude Primary from the generated shortcut default.
$instParams includes Primary (tools/new_clone_suite.ps1:621), and the __INSTPARAMS__ token fills the default $Instance in the generated shortcut installer (line 374). That installer defines $InstanceDefs only for inst1..N (line 637), so $InstanceDefs['Primary'] is $null. The loop then passes $null to Get-ShortcutTargets, which calls Join-Path with that value as ChildPath. ChildPath is a mandatory parameter, so PowerShell rejects the null argument. With $ErrorActionPreference = 'Stop', the script stops on its first iteration, before any clone shortcut is created. -Remove fails the same way. Running with explicit -Instance inst1 through -Instance instN avoids the failure, but the default run does not work.
Use the clone-only list for the shortcut template. Add a dedicated token so the launcher and reset templates keep Primary:

Keep every manual-login path anchored to the same clone home.
When a user runs these CMD commands in order, Line 95 changes %USERPROFILE% to ZCodeSecondHome. Lines 96–97 then append ZCodeSecondHome again. login zai receives different home and storage paths from the light launcher, so the login does not configure the intended clone home. ternary so the clone-home replacement executes in packaged builds, or reject
that bundle before swapping the asar; do not report a successful patch when the
replacement remains unreachable.

The ZCode updater can run quitAndInstall while the script waits for shutdown. That replacement makes $AsarPatchedProbe stale. The script can then reuse an older backup; with -Force, it can extract that backup and overwrite the updated installation. Re-probe app.asar and reassess the marker after the wait.

The v1.20 sunset removed tools/patch_autoclaw_ports.mjs (archived locally under archive/autoclaw-v1.20/), but the CI node-engine step still listed it - every run failed with MODULE_NOT_FOUND after Pester had already passed. Keep only the surviving asar patcher in the check.
Shortcut FILE names now use the color vocabulary shared by all four clone suites: the ZCode Launch- wrappers become Launch-ZCode-Blue/Yellow/Green/Red/Orange.bat, matching the window titles and the installer-emitted <Suite> <Color>.lnk shortcuts. The four installers gain legacy-name cleanup so pre-unification ordinal/shortcut names are removed on every run, and the launcher's console title follows. Technical keys stay frozen: ZCode instance keys Second..Sixth (clone dirs ZCode<Name>Home, roaming ZCode-<Name>, AUMID suffixes 2..6), newer suites c1..cN.
AGENTS.md conventions, the CHANGELOG entry and the five touched docs (playbook, architecture, cli, getting-started, troubleshooting) now describe the unified shortcut naming scheme and restate that the technical keys (instance names, clone dirs, AUMIDs) stay frozen.

Use the cache-aware launcher for manual login.
When the bundled provider file is absent, line 98 sets a nonexistent path. The CLI requires this configuration for login, so the command can fail before browser login even when a runtime-cache provider exists. Replace the manual block with the supported -Login entrypoint, which resolves the bundled file or cache fallback.

Refresh the patch state after the close wait
GHOST.bat:554 runs this patcher with -WaitForClose. On an upgrade or forced re-patch path, the script probes app.asar and loads the marker before waiting. OpenCode's manual quitAndInstall flow can replace app.asar after the process exits.
The later backup and extraction gates still use the pre-wait $OcCorePatched and $existingMarker values. They can therefore select the old marker backup and swap a candidate built from it over the updated app.asar. Re-run the existing probe and reload the marker after Assert-OpenCodeClosed, then use those refreshed values for backup selection and extraction. Preserve the current early exit for an already-patched tree.

Keep the technical-key wording generic.
c1..cN is not the technical key for every suite. ZCode still uses Second|Third|Fourth|Fifth|Sixth, while the newer suites use c1..c5. State that the existing technical key remains the -Instance value, or qualify c1..cN as applying only to newer suites. Otherwise this generic playbook contradicts the ZCode launcher contract. Keep the legacy shortcut until the replacement is verified.
These lines delete AutoClaw2 cN.lnk before the new shortcut is saved, AUMID-stamped, and verified. If a later step fails, the installer removes the user's previous shortcut and leaves no known-good fallback. Move legacy cleanup after $ok is true. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Delete the legacy shortcut after verification.
The normal install path deletes $legacyLnk before creating and saving $lnk. If creation or save fails, the clone can lose its only shortcut. If verification fails, an unverified replacement can remain while the legacy shortcut is already gone.
Move the deletion after $ok is true. The shortcuts installed message already existed at the PR base and is separate from this migration defect.

Delete the legacy shortcut only after the replacement passes all checks.
AUMID failure does not prevent saving. $s.Save() runs before the try that catches Set-ShortcutAumid errors. However, the legacy shortcut is deleted before CreateShortcut() and $s.Save(). A terminating creation or save failure can therefore leave no shortcut. The verification also ignores $aumidBack, so an AUMID failure can report OK while leaving no valid AUMID replacement.

Verify the replacement before deleting the legacy shortcut.
The normal install path calls Remove-LegacyShortcuts before it creates, saves, and verifies the replacement for each location. If creation or saving throws, or verification fails, the legacy shortcut has already been removed. That location can therefore lose its known-good shortcut. Move legacy cleanup after successful replacement verification for that location.
