Patch compatible validation and HTTP dependencies in NVIDIA NeMo Fabric and add a temporary CI exception for the remaining SDK Zod findings. The exception is limited to GHSA-mrhx-c7xc-m3w5, known install paths, and exact locked versions; unrelated high findings and all critical findings remain blocking. Removal and exposure assessment are tracked in #485, with review due November 23, 2026. This repository CI exception does not assert formal nSpect approval or prove the vulnerable code is unreachable.
The dependency changes fix compatible paths without forcing Zod 4 into Zod 3 consumers. No third-party package names are added. The lockfile changes retain MIT for Zod, body-parser, and Undici, and BSD-3-Clause for qs; Node attributions are regenerated.
Details
Pin common Zod and the existing v4-compatible MCP client/core subtrees to 4.6.6, preserving the MCP 2.2.0 overrides.
Refresh body-parser 2.3.0 to 2.4.0 and qs 6.16.0 to 6.16.1 within the existing dependency ranges.
Refresh compatible Undici copies from 6.29.0 to 6.29.1 and 8.11.2 to 8.12.3, addressing the newly reported GHSA-xjj6-f33q-929c on those paths.
Except only Zod 3.25.76 beneath Droid, Qwen, and GitLab provider, and root Zod 4.1.8 used by OpenCode. Validate parent SDK versions and traverse npm's propagated findings, including cyclic OpenCode dependencies.
Reject unexpected advisories, package paths, locked versions, critical findings, inconsistent counts, and audit errors. Preserve the existing moderate/low audit policy.
Keep the bounded-array validation regression and add policy tests for allowed findings and rejection cases.
Droid, Qwen, and GitLab provider latest releases still require Zod 3, and OpenCode pins Zod 4.1.8. Zod 4 introduces incompatible APIs, and Qwen bundles Zod 3 implementation code, so blanket overrides cannot establish remediation. Private workspace overrides also do not propagate to downstream consumers.
A fresh audit additionally flags Pi's exact Undici 8.10.2 dependency. The latest Pi release retains that pin, and the attempted patch override produced an invalid npm dependency tree and was discarded. This finding is outside the Zod exception and remains blocking pending a separate scope decision. This PR remains a draft.
Validation
just test-typescript: contract, policy, and adapter unit suites passed (300 passed, 1 skipped); npm ls --all passed. The recipe stops at the live audit gate on the separate Pi Undici finding, as intended.
All 20 audit policy tests passed, including rejection of new advisories, paths, versions, critical findings, audit errors, and cycles without an approved cause.
npm run pack:check --prefix adapters/typescript passed, including all tarball contents and isolated consumer installs.
The current report contains 10 Zod-related high findings covered by the exception and one additional high Undici finding that remains blocked. There are no critical findings.
The compatible Undici refresh preserves all package entries and MIT license identifiers. Node attribution regeneration and stable verification passed. The repository license-diff tool confirms 569 Node entries before and after, with no added/removed packages or changed license identifiers.
just --fmt --check, JavaScript syntax checks, copyright and whitespace hooks, and git diff --check passed. The repository-wide license hook was interrupted while fetching unchanged Python artifact metadata; the same helper passed when scoped to node.
No Rust, Python, schema, or Strands adapter implementation changes.
Where should the reviewer start?
Start with adapters/typescript/scripts/audit-dependencies.mjs and its policy tests, then the compatible dependency changes and common/test/validation-limits.test.mjs. Review #485 for the exception scope and removal criteria.

Summary by CodeRabbit
Chores
Updated validation and request-parsing dependencies to newer versions, including updates to the TypeScript adapter’s validation and Model Context Protocol dependencies.
Adjusted dependency audit checks to account for specified high-severity findings while continuing to reject critical or unapproved findings.
Tests
Added coverage confirming that an array exceeding its configured size limit is rejected with a single validation issue.
Expanded checks for dependency audit findings, including approved exceptions and invalid or inconsistent results.
The TypeScript package metadata and attribution records contain updated dependency versions. A validation-limit test checks the issue count and code for an oversized array. Dependency auditing now validates a temporary Zod advisory exception against package paths, locked versions, and dependency causes.

Summary
Dependency and validation updates adapters/typescript/common/package.json, adapters/typescript/package.json, adapters/typescript/common/test/validation-limits.test.mjs, ATTRIBUTIONS-Node.md
Updates zod to 4.6.6 and the MCP client and core overrides to 2.2.0, with nested zod overrides. Attribution records update versions of body-parser, qs, undici, and zod. A test expects parsing an oversized array with invalid elements to fail with one too_big issue.
checkAudit accepts specified high-severity Zod-related findings only when audit counts, advisory data, dependency paths, causes, and lockfile versions match the allowlist. Tests cover accepted findings and rejection cases.
The exception is mergeable with awareness that tests do not cover every approved package path. Add the missing cases to strengthen confidence in future changes.

Explanation
The title uses the allowed type "ci", is lowercase, is 62 characters long, has no trailing period, and uses an imperative summary. It names the two main changes: patching dependencies and scoping the temporary Zod audit exception. The changeset matches both parts, so the title is related to the main change.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description follows the repository template. It has an Overview, a 'Where should the reviewer start?' section pointing to audit-dependencies.mjs and its tests, and a Related Issues section with 'Relates to' keywords. Both checkboxes are checked. It also gives detailed validation results and scope limits for the exception. Only the 'Closes' keyword is absent, which fits the 'Relates to' choice, so the template is substantially satisfied.

The fixture covers only Droid’s nested Zod path, Droid SDK, and two OpenCode packages. It does not exercise Qwen, GitLab, root Zod, or the remaining OpenCode entries. Add table-driven acceptance cases for those paths and locked versions. Existing tests do not detect a removed or incorrect allowlist entry for them.
