The PLab Mobile Framework is created for educational usage in the course programming lab at NTNU.
The students in this course control an Arduino through a Bluetooth connection with this app. A Processing sketch created by the students are hosted on NTNU servers, allowing the students to easily create a GUI to control their Arduino.
The PLab Mobile Framework is created by students at NTNU on request of NTNU.
The project uses Apache Cordova to build and run on both Android and iOS platforms. Plugins are used to get Bluetooth and Bluetooth LE support.
To display the student created GUI, Processing.js is used. The development version after 1.4.16 release of this software is used. This version has problems with treatment of touch events, but a workaround with synthesis of mouse events have been included.
