The last line held nothing but spaces. .editorconfig sets trim_trailing_whitespace = true for every file, so it should never have been there, and it made this the one package whose Dependabot configuration differed from the other four, by exactly that and nothing else. The file is now byte-identical to django-marina's, and zostera/django-marina#697 adds it to the synced-verbatim list so the next drift has something to be caught against. No changelog entry: nothing in the file's meaning changes, which is the no-op case MAINTAINING.md allows. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

.editorconfigsetstrim_trailing_whitespace = truefor every file, so it should never have been there. It also made this the one package whose
.github/dependabot.ymldiffered from the other four, by exactly that and nothing else. The file is now byte-identical to django-marina's, and zostera/django-marina#697 adds it to the synced-verbatim list so the next drift has something to be caught against.A fleet-wide scan found only one other instance of trailing whitespace anywhere in the five repositories, in django-icons'
docs/index.rst, fixed in zostera/django-icons#668.Worth noting that nothing currently enforces this. ruff only sees Python, and the invisible-character check in
just lintlooks for a specific set of code points that does not include a plain space. So.editorconfigstates the rule and relies on editors honouring it. A lint recipe in the same shape as_no-invisible-characterswould close that, but it belongs in django-marina first, since the justfile is synced from there. I have not opened one.No changelog entry, because nothing in the file's meaning changes. That is the no-op case MAINTAINING.md allows.
