AFAIK you can't run commands from jinja templates.

But on the branch mentioned in #452 I've added support for running custom commands in the built-in template processor. The plan is to include that in the next release.

With that you could do something like {% command file junk | grep -q text && echo "some text" %}. But note that only the first line from the command output is inserted. If you need more lines you could use {% command ... %} to run a command that writes to a file that you then include with {% include ... %}.
