🧭 About

Backend engineer from Vietnam, on GitHub since 2015. I spend most of my time on the layer underneath the product: the framework, the queue, the deployment pipeline — the parts that make everything above them boring in a good way.

A pattern runs through almost everything I've published: turn boilerplate into a declaration. Write a struct tag, get parsing, validation and OpenAPI docs. Register a handler, get retries, heartbeats and partition rebalancing. The best abstraction is the one you stop noticing.

focus: [ backend frameworks, distributed queues, developer experience ]
daily: [ Python, Go, Rust ]
running: [ Docker, Kubernetes, Traefik, Prometheus, Redis, PostgreSQL ]
currently: exploring LLM infrastructure — routing, token efficiency, MCP

🛠️ Platform, DevOps & self-hosting. Tôi tự vận hành hạ tầng của mình: Docker, Traefik với HTTPS tự động qua Let's Encrypt, Kubernetes, Prometheus exporter có basic auth, Grafana / Loki / Harbor qua Portainer, và công cụ backup viết bằng cả Go lẫn Python.

Chặng đường

Từ PHP/Laravel (2020–2021) → Python/FastAPI (2022–2023) → hạ tầng & self-hosting (2023–2024) → Go và hệ phân tán (2025) → Rust và hạ tầng LLM (2026).

🏆 What I'm Good At

🧩 Building frameworks, not just using them

The clearest signature across my work. I design type-driven contracts that collapse repetitive glue code into declarations.

auto-fiber brings the FastAPI developer experience to Go's Fiber — from struct tags alone it derives multi-source parsing (body, query, path, header, cookie, form), validator/v10 enforcement, JWT per route or group, and a full OpenAPI 3.0 + Swagger UI.

fastapi-oauth implements a complete OAuth2 provider. go-template ships Connect gRPC, Protobuf, DDD layering, RBAC and i18n as a starting line.

⚡ Distributed async & queueing systems

Real systems depth, not thin wrappers around a client library.

redisaq is a distributed queue on Redis Streams — consumer groups via XREADGROUP, automatic partition rebalancing, heartbeat + TTL for crash detection, dead-letter queues, dynamic partition scaling and pluggable serialization.

aqworker is a framework-agnostic async job runner: worker/handler registries with auto-discovery, configurable retries, CLI tooling and full job lifecycle tracking.

Both are published and versioned on PyPI.

🦀 Genuinely polyglot — each layer deeper

Not a scattered list of languages. The same problems, re-solved in whichever language fits best.

Queues in Python → web framework in Go → performance-critical CLIs in Rust (rtk-sync, mysql-udf). Frontends in TypeScript / Vue / Nuxt, mobile in Flutter, with a PHP / Laravel era behind me.

🛠️ Platform, DevOps & self-hosting

I run my own infrastructure, and it shows.

Docker & Compose, Traefik with automatic Let's Encrypt HTTPS, Kubernetes, Prometheus exporters hardened with basic auth, Grafana / Loki / Harbor via Portainer templates, nginx-proxy, UFW-Docker hardening, and backup tooling written in both Go and Python.

🔐 Two more specialties worth mentioning

Identity & Authentication. Beyond writing fastapi-oauth myself, my reading list is deliberate rather than accidental: Ory Hydra (OAuth2/OIDC provider), Ory Kratos (identity management) and Dex (OIDC connectors). Auth is one of the few areas where "roll your own" is a bad idea and understanding the internals is mandatory.

LLM infrastructure. My 2026 focus: multi-provider routing with automatic fallback (9router), token-efficiency tooling — rtk-sync, a Rust CLI I wrote to sync usage tracking from SQLite to a central server, supporting a proxy that cuts token consumption 60–90% — plus MCP servers and on-device TTS via ONNX.

🚀 Flagship Work

stars forks

A full-stack project generator that gets you to production, not to a demo — Traefik with automatic HTTPS, Celery + Flower for background work, OpenAPI 3, Docker all the way down.

FastAPI Vue MySQL Docker Traefik Celery

stars go

The FastAPI developer experience, brought to Go. Struct tags in — multi-source parsing, validation, JWT and a full OpenAPI 3.0 + Swagger UI out. No codegen step, no duplicated schemas.

Go Fiber OpenAPI JWT

pypi downloads

A distributed queue built directly on Redis Streams: consumer groups, automatic partition rebalancing, heartbeat-based crash detection and dead-letter queues. Kafka semantics without the Kafka.

Python Redis Streams asyncio

pypi downloads

A framework-agnostic async job runner — registries with handler auto-discovery, configurable retries, CLI tooling and full lifecycle tracking from PENDING to COMPLETED.

📊 By the Numbers

36 original repos 72 stars 3 PyPI packages 11 years

Where my code actually lives — bytes across repositories I've pushed to in 2025–2026:

Go 39.1% ████████████████████████████████████████
Python 28.3% █████████████████████████████
TypeScript 18.8% ███████████████████
Rust 5.2% █████
Vue 5.1% █████
JavaScript 3.1% ███

Measured from the GitHub Languages API across actively maintained repositories. A one-off Flutter experiment is excluded — it would otherwise outweigh everything else without saying anything true about what I work on.
