- JSDoc usage examples for
noReply,sleep, andaskQuestionstill call them as factory functions (export default noReply();) even though they are now exported as plain tool-definition values, so following the docs produces a "not callable" type error.
- The
web_searchscaffold and doc snippet still re-export adefaultbinding fromeve/tools/web_searchthat no longer exists, producing a broken generated agent tool file.
- Schedule JSDoc prose still instructs authors to pass the removed
markdownkey instead ofcontent, so following the docs produces a compile-time and normalize-time error.

Reviewed the dependency-bot summary. The just-bash change is an optional-peer/dev dependency update to a release that ships the declaration files missing from 3.1; no runtime dependency was added to eve. The lockfile supply-chain checks and strict packed-consumer case pass. The benchmark-bot bootstrap error is tracked in the PR body as external runner coordination, not treated as a passing benchmark. |

Summary
Inconsistent names and dependency-controlled declarations make the pre-1.0 surface harder to use and review. Align tool values, reporters, prompts, credentials, cancellation options, extension paths, and experimental APIs. Add per-entry declaration closures and isolated packed-consumer checks with no diagnostic baseline. This assembles #4999 with the cleanup stack without merging unrelated changes from newer main. Related to #4930; stacked on #5006.
Scope and boundaries
sleep,noReply, andaskQuestionare values;webSearchis a named factory only. Reporter factories use camelCase, and React returnsUseEveAgentReturn.eve/extensions/*. The router entry iseve/tools/agent_router. Package extension metadata, fixtures, and templates follow the paths.content. Channel configs and credentials have one spelling. Continuation helpers accept objects; GitHub exports its helper. Redundant promise aliases are inlined.signal; eval and memory-backend contexts useabortSignal. Linear's activity signal remains domain data, not cancellation.experimental: { events }and types fromeve/experimental/connections. Connect's bridge metadata remains compatible with the installed SDK.This PR remains draft with its parent. The coordinated principal rename is not enabled without a compatible Connect release. Recompute the assembled contracts and reports after that change; no published contract history is rewritten.
Validation

The assembled reviewed tree passes all 59 workspace typecheck tasks, 15 packed/declaration-copy cases, 202 focused review units, 68 scoped integration cases, and the 23-case native grep suite. The packed matrix has no diagnostic baseline and covers every typed entry with its explicit peer group. Docs checks, declaration-shape checks, and the invariant guard pass. The default-provider migration contract also passes. No full eve test tier or local e2e run is claimed. The parent principal migration remains gated on Connect coordination.
External benchmark coordination
The benchmark bot reports an incomplete run: its external runner still generates
connections/task-mcp.tswith the retiredsession.startedresolver key. That template is outside this checkout. It needs a coordinated runner migration and a fresh benchmark; this PR does not restore legacy framework keys or disable the workflow. No green benchmark result is claimed.Checklist
