Requirements

• PHP 8.1 or higher
• Composer
• MySQL 8.0 or higher
• Node.js 18+ and npm (for frontend assets)

Installation

1. Clone the repository

git clone https://github.com/yourusername/task-management-app.git
cd task-management-app

2. Install PHP dependencies

composer install

3. Install Node dependencies

npm install

4. Copy the environment file

cp .env.example .env

5. Generate application key

php artisan key:generate

6. Configure your database in .env

DB_CONNECTION=mysql
DB_HOST=127.0.0.1
DB_PORT=3306
DB_DATABASE=task_management
DB_USERNAME=your_username
DB_PASSWORD=your_password

7. Run migrations

php artisan migrate

8. (Optional) Seed the database

php artisan db:seed

9. Build frontend assets

npm run dev

10. Start the development server

php artisan serve

Visit http://localhost:8000 in your browser.
