Summary

  • allow signed ACECode.app self-updates from safe writable custom locations
  • add the native graphical macOS installer and signed/notarized DMG release pipeline
  • bind installer payloads to the exact signed app produced by each architecture build
  • keep updater ZIP and optional PKG release paths intact
  • harden update locking, backup naming, path validation, and restart resolution

Tests

  • bash tests/scripts/macos_release_scripts_test.sh
  • bash tests/scripts/macos_installer_test.sh — 15 passed
  • /usr/local/bin/python3.10 tests/scripts/macos_installer_release_test.py — 9 passed
  • /usr/local/bin/python3.10 tests/scripts/macos_portable_package_test.py — 4 passed
  • workflow YAML parsing, shell syntax checks, and git diff --check

Verification limits

  • no production signing credentials or live notarization were used locally
  • full CMake/GoogleTest build was unavailable locally
  • clean non-admin machine and signed end-to-end updater verification remain release checks
