It is generally a good practice to pause the auto-dismiss feature of the toast component when it receives focus. This is especially important for accessibility reasons, as it allows users with screen readers or other assistive technologies to have enough time to interact with the content of the toast message.
I added it as a prop but I believe it should be the default behavior so the prop is not needed IMHO.
