Simple tool for annotating whole slide images (WSIs) and exporting annotations to various text file formats. A module in HistoLens.
Users can annotate structures of interest on WSIs from a number of different formats. Keyboard shortcuts enable creating of new structures for annotation (Ctrl+N), saving annotations to various export formats (Ctrl+S), switching to a different structure to annotate (Number keys), and changing the color of a structure's annotations (Shift+Number)
- Here, "Number" refers to one of the number keys on the keyboard corresponding to the index of that structure starting from 1.
Creating a new structurte can be done by either pressing the "New Structure" button on the left-hand side or by using the Ctrl+N keyboard shortcut.
The color of different structures can be updated either by right-clicking on the structure button on the left-hand side of the window or through the keyboard shortcut, Shift+Number.
When changing to a new slide, either by clicking the "Next Image" or "Previous Image" buttons or clicking the slide row in the table on the top-left of the window, the user is prompted to save their annotations. If annotations have already been saved, either through the Ctrl+S keyboard shortcut or through the right-click menu on the WSI axis, then this prompt will not appear.
