First public-stable release. **Audience:** APPM 2350 (CU Calc 3 for Engineers) students, fall 2026 cohort (~Aug 25 start). **Engineering-defined gate** — launch artifacts (blog post, launch video, etc.) are explicitly not gating. **Ships a quadrics *cluster* — programmatically separate scenes with shared infrastructure:** 1. Quadrics manipulator (existing through v0.5) — slider-driven implicit-surface explorer, family classifier, presets. 2. **Tangent-planes scene** (v0.6) — APPM 2350 §11.4. 3. **Gradient / level-surfaces scene** (v0.7) — §11.6. 4. **Saddle / extrema scene** (v0.8) — §11.7–11.8. **Plus:** - **Shared scene scaffold** (extracted in v0.6) — camera, design-language, scene-rack UI, testing patterns inherited by the sibling scenes. - **Design language fairly locked in** — treated as the inherited template for the future portfolio across both form factors; post-1.0 redesign cost climbs as N exhibits × 2 form factors. - **Very basic pancake build** ([#105](https://github.com/skylinetrailcomputing/geometer/issues/105)) — desktop + mobile non-VR working at scaffolded level (v0.9). **Deliberately slipped to v1.x:** Stokes/Gauss coalescence visualization (§13.E–G) and path-integral unrolling scene (§13.A) — both are high-impact APPM 2350 stuck-points but architecturally novel scene types; not worth risking the scaffold during the deadline-pressured 1.0 cut.
