chore(repo): migrate from npm to pnpm workspace - #5

Conversation
Replace npm with a pnpm workspace covering the root tooling and frontend/. Pin pnpm via packageManager, drop both package-lock.json files for a single pnpm-lock.yaml, and run the husky hooks through pnpm exec. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>

What
Replaces npm with a pnpm workspace covering the root dev-tooling and the
frontend/app. Stacked on top of #(chore/commit-tooling) since it rewrites files introduced there — review/merge that one first.Changes
pnpm-workspace.yaml— declaresfrontendas a workspace package; onepnpm installat the root wires up everything.packageManager: pnpm@10.22.0in rootpackage.json(Corepack-managed pin) + root proxy scripts (pnpm dev/build/start/lint).package-lock.jsonfiles (~10.7k lines) for a singlepnpm-lock.yaml.npx→pnpm execinpre-commitandcommit-msg.CONTRIBUTING.md+frontend/README.mdupdated for pnpm / Corepack.Why pnpm
Best balance of speed, disk efficiency, and full Node compatibility for 2026; native workspace support fits the root +
frontend/monorepo cleanly (Bun's speed edge wasn't worth its ~95% Node-compat risk for this small tooling surface).Verification
pnpm install→ exit 0, single lockfile generated, huskyprepareran (hooks active).pnpm exec commitlint: bad message → exit 1, good → exit 0.pnpm exec lint-stagedresolves; frontend deps resolve (next→ v16.2.9).frontend/README.md; commit-msg accepted the multi-scopedocs(repo,frontend)message.ci.ymlonly sets up Node for the Python JS-runner tests; it never installs JS deps.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
