Summary

• Load bounded PNG, JPEG, WebP and AVIF backdrop assets from custom theme folders, rejecting unsafe paths and symlinks.
• Apply image backdrops and focal positions to theme previews, workspace backgrounds and sticky surfaces, with image precedence over native window material.
• Extend the schema, browser mock and regression coverage; remove custom-theme documentation from the three READMEs and v0.3.47 release notes.

• PLAYWRIGHT_MODULE="$(npm root -g)/playwright" node tests/theme-images-ui.cjs — 10 resize scenarios passed across Chromium and WebKit, plus decode, overlay, switching and fallback assertions.
• Full Bun/Rust suites, other UI suites and native desktop testing were not run.
• Known limitation: raster signature validation does not ensure successful decoding; corrupt files with valid headers can suppress native material without displaying an image.
