Problem

The bundled catalog advertises only Fast for GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-6 Astra, so Codex cannot offer Ultrafast when it uses ECPA's generated catalog. Usage request details also omit the speed badge for service_tier: "ultrafast", even when that value is present in the recorded request.

Changes

  • Add Ultrafast to both models' service_tiers and additional_speed_tiers, and advance the bundled catalog revision from 7 to 8. Existing Fast metadata, default tiers, and other models are preserved. Availability follows the official speed documentation; catalog support does not grant account access.
  • Show a distinct ultrafast badge next to the reasoning effort in usage request details. Keep priority/fast badges unchanged.
  • Show requested and response service tiers separately in localized hover text. A requested ultrafast with a reported default remains visible without rewriting either value or claiming a scheduling/billing confirmation.
  • Add real-model catalog regression coverage, service-tier unit tests, and a focused headless UI test covering four locales, light/dark themes, and narrow layouts.

This uses the tier-preservation and on-disk reload behavior already merged in #452. Routing, usage collection, pricing, and speed calculations retain their existing behavior.

Validation

  • bun run check and bun run build: passed.
  • Service-tier, i18n, and model-display unit tests: 20 passed.
  • node tests/usage-service-tier-ui.cjs: passed with headless Edge; all external requests blocked in the fixture.
  • Catalog module tests: 29 passed in an isolated harness using this branch's catalog code, excluding desktop dependencies.
  • Full frontend suite: 941 passed, 32 skipped, 4 failed. The same four failures reproduce on the unmodified base (937 passed, 32 skipped, 4 failed): two existing quota-priority assertions, the existing alert/status role exception list, and the existing Copilot localization assertion.
  • The full cargo test --locked codex_catalog run could not complete because crates.io dependency downloads failed with TLS/transfer errors in the local environment.
