| ## Rossoctl - The Agentic Platform | ||
| An open source platform for building, deploying, securing, and governing AI agents on Kubernetes. | ||
| ## Rossoctl | ||
|
|
||
| Built on open standards: | ||
| - [A2A](https://github.com/google/A2A) — agent-to-agent communication | ||
| - [MCP](https://modelcontextprotocol.io/) — agent-to-tool integration | ||
| Open source infrastructure for running, connecting, and benchmarking AI coding agents — built in the open at [rossoctl.dev](https://www.rossoctl.dev/). | ||
|
|
||
| ### Repositories | ||
|
|
||
| #### Core | ||
| #### Core projects | ||
|
|
||
| - **[rossoctl](https://github.com/rossoctl/rossoctl)** - Main installer, UI, and documentation (Python) | ||
| - **[operator](https://github.com/rossoctl/operator)** - Kubernetes operator for deploying and lifecycle management of agents and tools (Go) | ||
| - **[cortex](https://github.com/rossoctl/cortex)** - Kubernetes security extensions for zero-trust agent authentication (Go) — [install stats](https://rossoctl.github.io/cortex/install-stats/) (estimated from GitHub download counts, not from user machines) | ||
| - **[examples](https://github.com/rossoctl/examples)** - Sample agents and tools (Python) | ||
| - **[.github](https://github.com/rossoctl/.github)** - Project website and documentation (Docusaurus/HTML) | ||
| - **[automation](https://github.com/rossoctl/automation)** - Automated org maintenance tooling using a scanner/fixer pattern (Shell) | ||
| - **[agent-skills](https://github.com/rossoctl/agent-skills)** - Reusable agent skills for org automation, such as link-health, automated pull request reviewing, and dependency scanning (Shell) | ||
| - **[rossoctl-cli](https://github.com/rossoctl/rossoctl-cli)** - Command-line interface for Rossoctl (Go) | ||
| - **[moca](https://github.com/rossoctl/moca)** - Dense, warm process-manager runtime for stateful AI coding agents — sessions resume exactly where they left off (TypeScript) | ||
| - **[cortex](https://github.com/rossoctl/cortex)** - The proxy layer between coding agents and everything they touch — see what your agent sends and pay less for it (Go) — [install stats](https://rossoctl.github.io/cortex/install-stats/) (estimated from GitHub download counts, not from user machines) | ||
| - **[eventing-lab](https://github.com/rossoctl/eventing-lab)** - Signed-event agent wake path: a Kafka message wakes a coding agent and every step streams back as CloudEvents (Python) | ||
| - **[autobench](https://github.com/rossoctl/autobench)** - Automated benchmarking of agentic AI workloads — deploys the workload, collects per-task telemetry, publishes durable artifacts (Python) | ||
| - **[state-lab](https://github.com/rossoctl/state-lab)** - Demo flows exploring state requirements for distributed agents, from durability to passability | ||
|
|
||
| #### Experimental | ||
| #### Context & governance | ||
|
|
||
| - **[mcp-gateway](https://github.com/Kuadrant/mcp-gateway)** - Envoy-based MCP Gateway (Go) — *hosted under [Kuadrant](https://github.com/Kuadrant) org* | ||
| - **[capture-the-flag](https://github.com/rossoctl/capture-the-flag)** - Capture the flag scenarios to demonstrate and test Rossoctl's security posture | ||
| - **[workload-harness](https://github.com/rossoctl/workload-harness)** - Benchmarking and load-generation harness for evaluating agents on the Rossoctl platform (Shell) | ||
| - **[context-guru](https://github.com/rossoctl/context-guru)** - Context engineering for agentic systems — compacts and summarizes LLM context to cut cost and latency while preserving accuracy (Go) | ||
| - **[aiac](https://github.com/rossoctl/aiac)** - AI-based Access Control — translates natural-language policy into enforced PDP rules for AI agents on Kubernetes (Python) | ||
| - **[context-guru](https://github.com/rossoctl/context-guru)** - Provider-agnostic context engineering for LLM agents — lower token cost and latency without sacrificing accuracy (Go) | ||
| - **[aiac](https://github.com/rossoctl/aiac)** - AI-based access control — translates natural-language policy into enforced permissions on OPA (Python) | ||
| - **[lab-data-governance](https://github.com/rossoctl/lab-data-governance)** - Data-aware governance: observes how data flows across agents, tools, and sessions, and derives interactions, classifications, and lineage (Python) | ||
| - **[context-service](https://github.com/rossoctl/context-service)** - Agent context infrastructure: durable storage and lifecycle management for agent state, memory, knowledge, workspaces, and artifacts (Go) | ||

[low] Two small notes on this block:
.githubis annotated(Docusaurus)while every other entry carries alanguage (Python, Go, Shell). GitHub reports TypeScript as this repo's dominant
language. Docusaurus is more useful to a reader than "TypeScript" here, so this may
well be deliberate — just flagging the inconsistency in kind, since the description
frames all of these as language annotations.
rossoctl-cliis dropped but not accounted for. The PR description lists theremovals as "operator, examples, agent-skills, workload-harness, capture-the-flag,
mcp-gateway" —
rossoctl-cliis also being removed from the list but is not named.Unlike the others it carries no deprecation marker: it is public, un-archived, and
its description is still a plain "A CLI (command line interface) for rossoctl" (last
push 2026-09-07).
It may be genuinely superseded, in which case dropping it is right and the repo
description should probably get the same
⚠️ DEPRECATEDtreatment the others got.Worth confirming the omission was intentional rather than incidental.

The (Docusaurus) annotation is deliberate — for this one repo, naming the site framework tells a reader more than "TypeScript" would, so it stays.
On rossoctl-cli: the omission from the list is intentional — it is not part of the current focus set — but you're right that it deserved to be named. The PR description now lists it among the removals, with a note that the repo itself is not deprecated. Whether it gets the same⚠️ DEPRECATED marker as the others is a separate call for the repo owners.
