Support partial text formatting within a text block

Currently, formatting changes seem to apply to the entire text block, even when only part of the text is selected.

For example, if a text block contains:

Apple

and I select only App and change the font, size, or color, the formatting is applied to the entire word/block instead of just the selected text.

It would be useful to support per-selection formatting within a single text block, so different parts of the same block can have different:

• Fonts
• Font sizes
• Colors
• Other text styling options

For example, being able to format APPle with APP using a different font or color while keeping le unchanged.
