What's done

What's not done

  • Signing and publishing happen after merge (local build path, docs/RELEASE.md): linux release, mac_cross and win_cross are built on the workstation and attached to a draft release.

What to review

  • CHANGELOG wording.

Intentions

Ship the 2026 icon and the brand sweep as 0.5.0.

Default-browser modal illustration names Redrob Browser; dark-mode WebUI header icon and omnibox action icon use the design system symbol. Substituted by brand via branding/manifest.
…er (#136)

The Windows install identity registered redrob:// as the browser's direct launch scheme, so redrob://open/<app> links opened the browser instead of Redrob Launcher. It is redrob-browser:// now.
Strings (Chrome -> Redrob, Korean re-keyed), OS names (linux desktop id, icon, scheme, man, AppStream, mac kinds), extension web access, linux keyring with migration, redrob-browser.exe, redrob-agent-server. Not built.
Delete the ui-capture workflow. The capture scripts stay under agent/scripts/ui-capture for local runs.
Replace the teal planet-and-orbit icon with the design system's 2026
"Doorway light" Redrob Browser app icon, byte-for-byte sources from
@redrob-labs/ui@1.8.0 dist/brand/app-icons/redrob-browser/:

  redrob-browser-icon-web.svg sha256 1ce12193746cdeb767c058300dc9f3e7756ea187f53a8f2671480e620c91db8e
  redrob-browser-symbol.svg sha256 6795142062e0130ac6bd9187cfe51997f1f4b88a6d951effb0dcb7078c22a05e

Rendered with headless Chromium by scripts/render_app_icons.py, which now
reads the package's app-icons folder and refuses a file whose sha256 does
not match its manifest.json.

- Linux/Windows/Chromium product_logo_*, favicon_product, win tiles, the
.ico set (app, doc, pdf, installer) and product_logo_32.xpm: icon-web,
full bleed (these platforms do not mask an app icon).
- macOS appiconset, iconset and app.icns: icon-web on Apple's 1024 grid
  (824 body, 100 px margin).
- macOS 26 AppIcon.icon: the symbol SVG as its layer, fill #2E7EFF->#2746EE.
- Agent extension icon (agent/apps/app/public/icon) is the app icon.
- New branding/icons/launcher_icon_512.png (full bleed) is the release
asset Redrob Launcher shows; sign-and-publish.yml stages it instead of
  the margined macOS 512.
- DESIGN_SYSTEM_PIN.json: version 1.8.0, integrity and gitHead
  865233123cbdc88724f0eb65c3c9d554ad953841 from the registry; vendored
tokens (CSS, JSON, native header), system.css and design_icons.ts
regenerated by scripts/vendor_design_system.py --update. The native
header renames the product-desk ramp to product-cowork; nothing in the
  browser reads either.
- agent: apps/app, apps/claw-app and packages/icons pin 1.8.0 (bun.lock
via bun install), which check_repo.py requires to match the pin.
- packages/icons: 1.8.0 drops the `brush` glyph; Palette (the
Customization settings entry) maps to `sliders`.
2026 app icon and @redrob-labs/ui 1.8.0
REDROB_VERSION, the Linux installer version file and the CHANGELOG section for 0.5.0:
2026 app icon (@redrob-labs/ui 1.8.0), the upstream-name sweep, the Windows
redrob-browser:// launch scheme.
plaster.py generate rebuilds a patch from pristine + its rules alone, so
regenerating chrome/BUILD.gn and chrome/app/settings_strings.grdp in #138
threw away the hand-written hunks those patches carried: the browseros
deps and defines in chrome/BUILD.gn, and IDS_SETTINGS_IMPORT_EXTENSIONS_CHECKBOX
/ IDS_SETTINGS_IMPORT_COOKIES_CHECKBOX, which settings_localized_strings_provider.cc
still uses, so the release build failed to compile.

Each patch is now the pre-#138 patch with only the rules #138 added applied on
top; every line of #138's version is still in it.
