What

Migrate azure/function_app_linux_managed_identity to the azurerm v4 provider so it accepts dotnet_version = "10.0".

Changes

  • Bump azurerm constraint ~> 3.117 → ~> 4.66 (dotnet_version = "10.0" requires azurerm >= 4.66; validated against v4.78.0).
  • Add resource_provider_registrations = "none" to the azurerm provider — the v4 replacement for the removed ARM_SKIP_PROVIDER_REGISTRATION env var. Deploy service principals have no provider-registration rights, so registration must stay disabled.
  • Migrate the diagnostic setting's deprecated metric block to enabled_metric (removal scheduled for azurerm v5).

Validation

terraform init (azurerm v4.78.0) + terraform validate → clean, no warnings. terraform fmt clean.

Scope / impact

Only this module's azurerm constraint moves to v4. Consumption is opt-in per ref/tag: existing consumers pinned to v3.16.x are unaffected. This is a breaking change for anyone pinning this module to a tag that includes this commit (they must run on azurerm v4).

Needed for the OTEL log-receiver Function App net10 upgrade (AB#7844).

…net 10.0

Bump the azurerm provider constraint from ~> 3.117 to ~> 4.66 so the module
accepts dotnet_version = "10.0" (requires azurerm >= 4.66). Add
resource_provider_registrations = "none" (the v4 replacement for the removed
ARM_SKIP_PROVIDER_REGISTRATION) and migrate the diagnostic setting's deprecated
metric block to enabled_metric.

AB#7844
…strations

azurerm v4 still honours the ARM_SKIP_PROVIDER_REGISTRATION env var the pipelines
export, and rejects setting both skip_provider_registration (via that env var) and
resource_provider_registrations at once. Rely on the env var like every other module.
