- Getting started Download and run ledder server.
Currently recommended methods: Either use WLED or ledstream.
- Easy: WLED via DRGB mode (up to 400 leds, uses more bandwidth)
- Advanced: Ledstream via ESP32 (up to 8channels x 256leds = 2048)
- Advanced: Raspberry PI with WS2812 display (standalone, no bandwidth usage, up to 16channels x 256leds = 4096)
- Pixelflut Usually used at hacker events and LAN parties.
- IDM64x64 bluetooth display being sold at AliExpress.
- Google Chromecast to stream the big-pixel animations to your TV
- Hub75 Colorlight 5a-75b very experimental FPGA firmware (work in progress)
- Other examples are in the Default config. It has many complex led-layout examples.
You would like that nodejs is too slow for this kind of thing, but it isn't: I'm running 12 ledstream displays of 64x32 pixels @60fps, and the node server process still uses only 10% CPU.
