All Submissions:

  • Have you followed the guidelines in our Contributing document?
  • Have you checked to ensure there aren't other open Pull Requests for the same update/change?
  • Did you branch your changes and PR from that branch and not from your master branch?
    • If not, why?:

New Server Submissions:

  1. Does your submission pass tests (server is connectable)?
  2. Have you added the server to the main README.md?
  3. Have you added a unique README.md for the server you are adding?

If I can get VU to finally run correctly on my computer, I'd be willing to test / confirm this egg works. Otherwise, if anyone else can verify it, in theory it would be good to merge.

I have tested it again yesterday unfortunately it does not download the files although you log in with your Origin data in the variables

I have tested it again yesterday unfortunately it does not download the files although you log in with your Origin data in the variables

BF3 data will be supplied by you and there is not other way to directly grab files from EA servers

The egg just setups up the vu server but BF3 directory should be populated by you by manually uploading game files

EA login in variable is to activate the install in your server

Porting over changes from my itsmemac/VU-Pterodactyl
- Added server frequency variable
- disabled auto update temporarily (Is causing issue with VU auto-updater overwriting files in different directory causing server to not start. Manual update by downloading and replacing the files works best as of now)

Hi Its not working

This comment isn't too useful. How is it not working? Where is it failing? Can you provide logs of it failing? Did you provide BF3 files like the author noted was required?

I'll have to give this a shot and test it out. I'll report back any issues I find.

After troubleshooting this deal it looks like there is a major detail missing from the documentation on setting this up. There has to be a server key created on the VU site here and then place the server.key in ~/vu/instance directory. Once that is done it will work. Just update your readme to reflect that step! 👍

Provided Prerequisites and key transfer to instance instructions

Hi @xTITUSMAXIMUSX
Since these are already mentioned in the VU Docs as Prerequisites thought it might not be necessary
Added the steps from docs into the readme Notes as well
Should look good to go now

This PR should be good to go. I have tested this and it works just fine.
