Exact campaign target

Validate the DSH core Web tasks with a person directly operating and listening to VoiceOver on physical macOS.

Do not begin until the campaign manifest says open. The launcher must report:

Primary environment

• physical macOS with exact OS build;
• exact VoiceOver and Safari versions;
• one UI/speech language, voice, verbosity, punctuation, Quick Nav, input, and output configuration per result;
• a dedicated clean Safari profile. Stop immediately if Safari exposes personal tabs, history, bookmarks, accounts, extensions, or autofill.

Required observation

For every task, retain pass, partial, or fail; independent/effective/safe completion; actual VoiceOver speech and keyboard observations; rotor or Quick Nav behavior when used; focus and VoiceOver cursor before and after important transitions; assistance; workaround; and the smallest reproducible barrier. A modality may be claimed only when directly observed on every claimed task. Do not infer output from captions, DOM, accessibility trees, automation, screenshots, or AI operation.

Use only the disposable synthetic Sessions. Never publish the one-use sign-in URL, raw speech history, recordings, logs, prompts, credentials, personal paths, or participant data.

Acceptance boundary

• Partial and failed results remain claim: none and are not rerun or rewritten to hide a barrier.
• A candidate a11y-at-tested record must pass the public human-evidence validator and public review for this exact cohort.
• This Issue does not establish macOS, VoiceOver, or whole-product support by itself.
• Disabled-developer task completion is collected separately and is never inferred from an AT-specialist result.

VoiceOver-specific suggestions:

• Test Safari and Chrome separately; Chinese UI/speech and English UI/speech are separate matrix rows.
• Record macOS, browser, and VoiceOver versions plus verbosity and punctuation settings.
• Use the rotor with VO+U, sequential navigation with VO+Left/Right, activation with VO+Space, and ordinary Tab/Shift+Tab where the Web control expects keyboard focus.
• Verify landmarks/headings, the top navigation route, keyboard-opened Settings containment and Escape focus return, menus/tabs/trees, and disclosure rows with separately focusable file actions.
• Record the exact utterance when a role, name, state, position, or live update is missing, duplicated, stale, or excessively verbose.

Hermetic VoiceOver lab candidate ready

PR #20 now provides a disposable, synthetic setup for the remaining listener-verified VoiceOver rows:

After building the tagged DSH baseline and this branch, a macOS tester can run:

The launcher uses only DSH's committed synthetic history, an isolated DSH home, loopback, disabled ordinary model/telemetry paths, and handled-signal cleanup. It prints exact revisions and a local URL, then opens the real installed Safari or Chrome. Return to the terminal and press Ctrl+C after the observation.

Please submit one human-listened result per browser/language row using the copyable ten-task template. Record exact macOS/browser/VoiceOver versions, voice, verbosity, punctuation, actual speech, focus/VO-cursor result, independent completion, workaround, pass/fail, and severity. Caption-panel text or accessibility-tree inspection alone does not close a row.

This update adds no VoiceOver pass. All four rows remain unchecked until a person listens to and reviews the complete result.
