With the setting on, mail from the actor an open clarify addressed, on that clarify's thread, passes the desk's gate ahead of the trusted-sender test and is listed at the next sweep under the message it clarifies, by the answer's own id; anything else meets the gate as before. ADR-0017 S8 now states what holds.
