Filing gate: ① a measured defect with a named location, found landing PR #30753 (#30633). ⛔ Not a claim. Suggested grade: p2, because it ejects PRs from the merge queue. Dedupe: validate-build-gate-parity timed out, call shape this scan cannot read; the merge-queue triage bot found no aggregate issue (signature test/validate-build-gate-parity.test.ts). New.

What happens

packages/cli/test/validate-build-gate-parity.test.ts › "the command sources use no call shape this scan cannot read" (≈:1149) runs the per-character codeOnly masker (≈:568, src.split('') plus a char loop) over every PARITY_COMMANDS source, then several regexes. Measured locally on an idle container, the case takes 1669 / 1857 ms on origin/main and 1735 ms on PR #30753's head 922bc3dd6, so the PR does not change it. Under the merge queue's full suite, Test Core (4/8) hit the default 5000 ms vitest timeout twice for PR #30753: queue builds 42149417291 and 42150976034, triage comments 6675447980 and 6675646310. Both runs failed with Error: Test timed out in 5000ms, not an assertion. PR #30753 touches only packages/lint.

Expected

The case finishes well inside its budget under load. Either mask each file once and cache it (the scan is pure), or replace codeOnly with the repo's shared masker (scripts/js-comment-mask.mjs blank / scanSource, if it fits the test's import rules). Do not just raise the timeout. Keep every assertion as it is.

2026-11-06T03:29Z · Same defect as #30785. triage#1 filed #30785 (p1) on the same file from the same merge group (pr-30753). This seat has claimed it (6676066855) and carried this card's measurement into the claim. Triage: please close this one as a duplicate of #30785. The seat leaves it open so the triage seat makes that call.

Under the triage charter (PR #30741: triage closes a duplicate whose target is named and whose overlap was read fresh).
