Pull-down menu stops scrolling after triggering a submenu

Hello,

Any pull-down menu that appears when selecting an option of the top menu bar, for instance, 'File' and is taller than the available screen estate has a scrollbar because its contents don't fit in the actual menu. When you use you mouse's wheel to scroll down/up, it eventually stops scrolling once a submenu item is triggered and the actual submenu displayed (which, in turn, never disappears, not even when we hover over a different item in the menu).

I have many Linux distros on metal but not Mint. I think that I see what you are talking about. It only visually affects long menus with submenu/second level menu items which auto-popout. On Ubuntu you can actually see a thin scrollbar appear and hovering above it allows you to scroll by holding onto it. I will investigate.

Maybe the fact that the second level menu items that auto-popout never disappear, unless you leave the whole menu or you trigger a different menu option with a different submenu popout, is what "disables" the scrolling ability with the mouse wheel?
