Pre-commit runs lint-staged and Jest, plus release:check when manifest.json is staged. Pre-push runs the headless E2E suite when runtime files changed. A Claude Code PreToolUse hook stops agents from bypassing the hooks. Co-Authored-By: [PERSON_NAME] Sonnet 5.5 <[EMAIL]>
Mechanical formatting only, plus the few lint errors found on first run: undeclared loop variable in popup.js, leftover debugger statement, unused variables and imports. The release gate now skips manifest.json changes that are formatting-only. Co-Authored-By: [PERSON_NAME] Sonnet 5.5 <[EMAIL]>
