Summary

  • MobileNextDriver now falls back to process.env.MOBILENEXT_API_KEY when apiKey is not provided, so new MobileNextDriver() just works.
  • An explicit apiKey always wins (including an explicit empty string).
  • Docs: Mobile Next Cloud page and configuration reference updated.

Test plan

  • npm test — new driver.test.ts covers env fallback and explicit override
  • npm run build

Walkthrough

The constructor now uses MOBILENEXT_API_KEY when apiKey is omitted. An explicitly supplied value, including an empty string, takes precedence. When a key is configured, connect rejects URLs that do not start with wss://. Tests cover key fallback and URL validation. Documentation examples describe the environment default and explicit-value precedence.

Priority: ⬇️ Low

Merge Risk: ⚪ Minimal · up to 6560a

The API-key fallback and secure connection checks match the documented behavior. No actionable merge-blocking issue was identified; merge after normal build and test checks pass.
