Welcome to the Ultimate Competitive Programming Roadmap! This repository contains a structured, progressive guide from Newbie to Legendary Grandmaster.
It features ~730 curated practice problems cross-referenced from top-tier platforms like Codeforces, CSES, LeetCode, SPOJ, USACO, AtCoder, and IOI/ICPC.
The only true way to get better at competitive programming is to practice. But too often, we spend a lot of time either practicing things that don't match our current skill level, or just trying to figure out what to practice in the first place.
One of the best ways to learn new concepts is to simply encounter them naturally in a contest, and then read up on them afterward. But this implies that you have to take part in a lot of contests, and you never really know what level the problems will be—you might not even be equipped to understand the solution at that moment!
That’s why I wanted to create a structured, progressive list for improving your problem-solving skills.
Obviously, this list isn't completely comprehensive and you still need to participate in as many real contests as you can to improve. Just solving your way through a list won't magically make you good. The most important thing is to THINK and REASON.
Competitive programming shouldn't feel like an endless grind. Enjoy it the same way you would any sport!
You can view the entire roadmap in one massive, consolidated document: The Ultimate Roadmap (All Tiers)
Or, you can tackle it in focused, tier-by-tier chunks:
- Tier 1: Newbie (< 1200)
- Tier 2: Pupil (1200 – 1399)
- Tier 3: Specialist (1400 – 1599)
- Tier 4: Expert (1600 – 1899)
- Tier 5: Candidate Master (1900 – 2099)
- Tier 6: Master (2100 – 2299)
- Tier 7: International Master (2300 – 2399)
- Tier 8: Grandmaster (2400 – 2599)
- Tier 9: International Grandmaster (2600 – 2899)

We welcome community contributions! If you spot a broken link, a problem that now requires a premium subscription, or want to suggest a better pedagogical example: Read our Contribution Guidelines to learn how to open an issue or submit a Pull Request.
Note: The problem lists, categorizations, and notes within this roadmap were compiled, restructured, and verified with the heavy assistance of Artificial Intelligence. While best efforts were made through rigorous automated and manual audits to ensure pedagogical quality, accurate links, and correct difficulty progression, I assume no responsibility or liability for any inaccuracies, broken links, or miscategorized problems. The contents are provided "as is", and you should proceed through the roadmap at your own discretion.
