Move/resize window to next snap point action

It would be handy to have an action to move and resize windows to the next snap point in a particular direction. Right now the only way to do that is to manually drag a window, this would open it up to keyboard shortcuts and single mouse/trackpad/touchscreen gestures. There will probably need to be a way to limit the snap points a window can be moved to, like only in the current cluster, to avoid moving/resizing windows huge amounts.

Accepting it. Plan: move-to-snap <dir> and resize-to-snap <dir>.

Move jumps to the nearest anchor in that direction, using the same anchors drag snapping knows (flush against a neighbour, edge/centre alignment with a window above or below), no distance limit. If the window leaves the viewport the camera follows it. Nothing in that direction does nothing.

Resize I'd do in i3-style: right/down grow that edge to the next anchor, left/up shrink it back, bounded by the screen.

Is the snapped status of a window (and the list of windows to which it is snapped - the cluster members?) exposed via IPC currently?

It might enable some cool scripting.

@owldown not right now. All the snapping and clustering is computed on demand from current geometry, whenever a cluster action runs. There's no special state saved anywhere.

Which also means you can already do it from a script: two windows are snapped when their frames sit exactly [snap].gap apart on one axis and overlap on the other. driftwm msg state gives you the geometry, and move/resize take the same numbers, so putting windows at that distance is all "snapped" means.
