Pull Request

Summary

Add compact PHP reference bars and a live today marker to library timelines. PHP labels center in the light blue active-support segment when space permits and otherwise start in the hatched security segment, leaving continuation arrows clear.

Closes #150

Changes

  • Documentation content added or updated
  • Docusaurus configuration or UI updated
  • Markdown generation updated
  • CI/CD or documentation tooling updated

config/roadmaps/PHP.json shares explicit PHP 8.2–8.5 dates across all configured library timelines, using thinner muted bars on the unchanged library date axis. PHP creates no landing page, support table, version list or navigation entry; empty library roadmaps keep their fallback.

A dependency-free Docusaurus client module positions a one-pixel muted red today line from the SVG's shared calendar geometry. It uses the visitor's local calendar day, refreshes at midnight and when the page resumes, and hides the line outside the display window. It spans only the library/PHP bar area, not the heading or legend. No daily rebuild is needed.

Standards and references

  • Not applicable

No normative spatial behavior changes. Explicit PHP dates come from the official Supported Versions page, checked October 29, 2026; the maintainer guide records this source and the update procedure.

Source and generated content

  • Source Markdown is valid and linted.
  • Generated content is consistent with its source.
  • Docusaurus builds successfully.
  • Internal links are valid.
  • Navigation and indexes are consistent.

HTML and portable Markdown reference the same generated, script-free SVG for each library. The live marker is an HTML browser enhancement: standalone SVGs and portable Markdown remain static, with the HTML counterpart available through their existing link. Announced support dates remain identical across representations.

Validation

  • Markdown lint passes.
  • Documentation build passes.
  • Generated resources have been checked.
  • Relevant links have been checked.
  • The rendered documentation has been visually reviewed.
  • CI passes.

Additional validation:

  • node --test tests/roadmap-today.test.mjs tests/roadmap-timeline.test.mjs tests/roadmap-publication.test.mjs: 67 passed.
  • npm test: 468 passed, 1 skipped.
  • npm run build:local: runs npm run build with the repository's fictional legal fixtures; corpus validation passed with 0 errors and 0 warnings.
  • sh .githooks/pre-commit: 103 files linted, no issues; git diff --check passed.
  • Regression tests cover shared-axis placement, clipping, PHP label placement and arrows, schema errors, fallback, unchanged library tables/navigation, inclusive dates, leap days, visitor timezones, midnight refresh, page resume and marker cleanup.
  • Fresh WKT Parser and Spatial Types HTML outputs contain the exact SVG geometry; the calculated October 29, 2026 marker position is 43.293% across the image in the configured window. SVG/Markdown contain no marker script or runtime metadata.
  • Base PHP bars were visually checked in Safari in light/dark themes and at 375px widths with keyboard horizontal scrolling. The adjusted labels and new date marker have not been visually rechecked: the Computer Use session is explicitly stopped for this turn. Their geometry and lifecycle are covered by automated tests; browser verification remains pending.
  • composer test-local and composer quality: not applicable to this Node.js repository.

Documentation impact

Maintainer guidance describes the PHP source, label placement, live date marker and static portable output. No documentation URLs or dependencies change. Generated SVGs remain build output.
