….0383 cargo audit fails on main again since the three advisories were published on 2026-10-20, so every open pull request reads red on security-audit. All three crates reach the brain through reqwest (provider calls). The fixes reject distrusted intermediate keys and drop the emSign roots; no API change. cargo auditstarted failing on main again when RustSec published three advisories on 2026-10-20. Every open pull request now reads red onsecurity-audit, including #626 and #627. This bumps three crates inCargo.lockand changes nothing else.All three reach the brain through reqwest, which carries every provider call.
webpki-rootsalso reaches the paused shell through reqwest 0.12.I read the upstream notes:
Neither changes an API. The releases are one and two days old, which is inside the 3-day patch cooldown.
.github/dependabot.ymlexempts security updates from cooldown for this reason, and both releases come from the rustls organisation.Verified locally:
