The cargo-linux-multiarch workflow was failing on build (aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu) because a dependency build script (yeslogic-fontconfig-sys) invokes pkg-config, which was not configured for cross-compilation. This change addresses that gap in the aarch64 build environment.

  • Root cause addressed

    • aarch64 cross-build had the cross GCC toolchain, but pkg-config still rejected cross-target resolution for native library metadata.
  • Workflow change

    • Updated .github/workflows/cargo-linux-multiarch.yml in the existing Build release binary step to allow cross pkg-config resolution.
    • Kept the change scoped to environment configuration; no Rust source or dependency graph changes.
  • Patch

    - name: Build release binary
      env:
        CC_aarch64_unknown_linux_gnu: aarch64-linux-gnu-gcc
        PKG_CONFIG_ALLOW_CROSS: "1"
      run: cargo build --release --target ${{ matrix.target }}
