Step-by-Step Instructions
- Enable Developer Mode
Open Google Chrome Click the three dots menu (⋮) in the top-right corner Go to Settings > Extensions
Alternatively, type chrome://extensions/ in the address bar
Look for the "Developer mode" toggle in the top-right corner Switch it to ON
- Load the Unpacked Extension
With Developer mode enabled, you'll see three new buttons appear:
"Load unpacked" "Pack extension" "Update"
Click the "Load unpacked" button A file explorer window will open Navigate to the directory containing your extension files
Make sure the directory contains the manifest.json file
Select the directory (don't open it, just select it) Click "Select Folder" (Windows) or "Open" (Mac)
