A little structure for everything on your mind.
Sidequest is a personal task manager for the work, ideas, and everyday things competing for your attention. Capture a thought, break it into smaller steps, and make room for what you want to do today.
Designed with ADHD in mind, Sidequest keeps your tasks on one calm canvas, with quick keyboard controls and space to think when a task needs more than a title.
Start with Inbox when you just need to get something out of your head. Use Today to see tasks dated for today, and create your own lanes for projects, interests, or parts of your life. Everything sits side by side, so you can move between contexts without digging through menus.
A task can be as small as “send that email” or the start of a whole project. Nest smaller steps underneath it, move them as your plans change, and collapse the details when you want the bigger picture.
- Work from the keyboard. Create, edit, complete, nest, and move tasks without reaching for the mouse. Drag and drop is there when you prefer it.
- Keep the context close. Add notes, sketch on a task’s whiteboard, and keep useful links alongside the work they belong to.
- Stay in your flow. Board edits save locally and queue for sync when your connection drops. Connected devices receive updates as you work.
- Make it yours. Arrange lanes around the way you think, from a weekend project to the things you need to get done at work.
Connect a GitHub repository to a lane to bring matching open issues into your board. Completing a linked task also sends a request to close its GitHub issue.
Sidequest also works with AI assistants through MCP. Let a compatible assistant find tasks, capture ideas, or organise your board. Choose read access or allow changes, and revoke connections whenever you like.
Sidequest is actively evolving. Feedback, bug reports, documentation improvements, and focused contributions are welcome. Tell us where you get stuck, what feels slow, or what would make it easier to take the next step.
