How to support controllers returning ResponseEntity?

Love this and not sure why mixins dont have better support in springMVC.

Would love to extend this to work with the case where controllers return ResponseEntity instead of @responsebody.

Any clues?

I think this would probably be possible. Maybe an instanceof check for ResponseEntity, pull out the payload (use reflection if necessary) and apply the mixin. These are just thoughts at the moment though. I would be happy to receive a pull request if you get this working.

Take a look at JsonResponseAwareJsonMessageConverter in method writeJson. That is where the serialization is taking place so seems like a reasonable place for the instanceof check.
