feat(c15t): add inth c15t codemods - #45
Conversation
Scriptc 0.3.6 cannot compile the TypeScript compiler or ts-morph, so the c15t codemods need their own parser. It follows the compiler's parser and reports the same node kinds and offsets. A test holds it to the compiler's tree on fixed cases and on the CLI's own sources.
The twelve hosted-app codemods and their helpers, copied from upstream before porting. They still import ts-morph and do not build yet.
The tests from @c15t/cli for the twelve codemods, used as the spec for the port. They do not pass until the codemods run on the new parser.

Swap ts-morph for the syntax layer and semver for a local port of the parts the codemods use. Lookup tables become Maps, so a key such as `constructor` no longer matches an Object.prototype member.
Port the upstream codemod tests to the syntax layer, and add tests for the edit helpers and the semver port.
Scriptc gives a generic class no prototype table, so the syntax Node is no longer generic and NodeOf<Kind> brands it by kind. Iterable parameters, filter predicates and self-calling closures become arrays and loops, which Scriptc can compile.
inth migrates hosted apps only. consent-provider-options now keeps mode 'offline' and offlinePolicy as they are and adds a TODO(c15t v3) comment, instead of rewriting them to offline({ policyRules }). Where offline() cannot be imported, it keeps upstream's mode TODO.
Runs the hosted-app c15t v2 to v3 codemods by name, with --list, --dry-run and --json. The command is routed before sign-in and project resolution, since it only rewrites files in the app.

- Around line 301-306: Update the migration failure handling around the
migration loop and migration_failed CliError so partial results from earlier
codemods are preserved and exposed to --json callers. Include the changed file
paths from results in the thrown error message or its emitted error details,
while retaining the existing failing-codemod errors and dry-run behavior.
Review comments at @packages/cli/src/native/c15t-codemods/runner.ts:
- Around line 136-138: Update the source-loading logic in runCodemods to catch
parse errors from project.addSourceFileAtPath for files not already present,
record each failure in result.warnings with its file path and error message, and
continue processing remaining files instead of adding the failure to
result.errors or aborting the migration.
Review comments at @packages/cli/src/native/c15t-codemods/syntax/scanner.ts:
- Around line 446-461: Update scanEscape’s x and u escape handling to validate
required hexadecimal digits before advancing the scanner. For \u{...}, scan
forward only across hex digits, require a nonempty sequence followed by }, and
leave the position unchanged on invalid or unterminated input so scanning stays
within the literal and always progresses safely. Return the existing fallback
escape character for invalid forms.

manual fields and statement.getFullText() already includes TODO_PREFIX, then
return false before generating replacement text; preserve existing behavior for
plans with mapped fields, edits, or draft-save usage. Add a transformTwice test
covering the residual useConsentManager call and confirming the second transform

183-191: 🗄️ Data Integrity & IntegrationThe concern is refuted.
runTransformscans only TypeScript and JavaScript extensions, while bothrunTextTransformcallers pass only stylesheet extensions:.css,.scss,.sass, and.less. The transforms cannot process the same file.
\x and \u escapes consumed a fixed number of characters, and an
unterminated \u{ moved the scanner to the next } or back to the start
of the file. An invalid escape in String.raw`\u` ate the closing
backtick. Read only hex digits, and scan the text after an invalid
escape as usual, as the compiler does.
Split the namespace preset planner out of transformSourceFile, define the useConsentManager import helpers before use, replace a nested ternary, pass isSyntaxError the message, and spy on the codemod entry instead of mocking its module.

An aliased import such as useConsents as getConsents counted as the hook being imported, so the migrated call to useConsents() had no binding. Count only unaliased value imports.
import defer * as ns from 'x' read defer as a default binding and failed at the asterisk, so the file was skipped. Read defer as a phase modifier unless a comma, = or from 'x' follows it, as the compiler does.

Avoid shadowed replacement hook names
When the transformed scope already binds a replacement name—for example, function Component(useConsents) { const { consents } = useConsentManager(); }—this emits const consents = useConsents() and adds a module-level import, but the call still resolves to the parameter rather than the c15t hook. The migrated code can compile while silently reading the wrong value; generate and call a non-shadowed import alias for each replacement hook.

Not changing this. It needs a local binding named after a c15t hook, such as a useConsents parameter, in the same component as useConsentManager(). @c15t/cli@3.1.0 behaves the same way, and --dry-run shows the rewritten call for review.

Verify property-access transport factories by binding
When a v2 app obtains its mode from an unrelated helper such as mode: modes.hosted(), this name-only check treats the call as the v3 hosted() transport regardless of what modes resolves to. planTransport consequently leaves the legacy mode and sibling backendURL untouched without even adding a TODO; only property accesses bound to an actual c15t transport namespace should count as already migrated.

Not changing this. The property-access check is upstream's, copied unchanged from @c15t/cli@3.1.0. It exists for c15t.hosted() through a namespace import. An app helper named hosted that returns the v2 mode string is possible but rare, and --dry-run shows the untouched mode and backendURL for review.

@coderabbitai review — the fixed threads are resolved; the two declined ones explain why they match upstream. |

Adds
inth c15t codemods, which rewrites hosted c15t v2 apps for v3 with the twelve codemods from the c15t upgrade guide. They are ported from@c15t/cli@3.1.0and compiled into the inth binary. The command needs no sign-in or Inth project. It is routed before auth and project resolution in

The upstream codemods run on ts-morph. Scriptc 0.3.6 is the newest release, and it can't compile

This branch adds a TypeScript, TSX and JavaScript parser written for Scriptc, plus a binder and the slice of ts-morph's API the codemods call. The parser follows the compiler's and produces the same node kinds at the same offsets.
test/c15t-codemods-parser.test.tschecks it againstts.createSourceFileon fixed cases and on the CLI's own sources.Compared with
