Updates @scriptc/compiler from 0.2.2 to 0.3.6.

Patch

0.3.6 includes the dyn-promise linking fix, so that part of the patch is gone. The rest is still needed, because both bugs below still reproduce on Scriptc main:

  • Headers methods on fetched responses (Fix fetched Headers methods under @types/node vercel-labs/scriptc#617). undici-types declares Headers.get as a readonly function property, so Scriptc reads it off the handle and calls it. response.headers.get(...) then throws "is not a function". It only shows up when the project has @types/node. Without it, Scriptc falls back to its own Node declarations, which use method signatures. That's probably why upstream couldn't reproduce it.
  • dynDesc crash: since 0.2.7, the compiler crashes when a function that takes URLSearchParams is boxed into unknown. OAuthTransport.form and AgentHttp.form both hit this. The patch adds the missing searchParams case.

packages/cli/src/native/README.md says when to remove the patch.

Release-age exclusions

pnpm's minimumReleaseAge blocks packages less than a day old, and the 0.3.6 packages were published at about 20:16 UTC on 2026-10-18. pnpm-workspace.yaml excludes the 20 @scriptc/* packages until then. They can be removed in a follow-up.

Verification (Linux x64)

  • Native test suite, test:package, lint, typecheck, unit tests and docs:check pass.
  • The glibc 2.34 minimum in the CLI README comes from the 0.3.6 runtime. I didn't verify it on an older glibc.

Benchmark

0.2.2 against 0.3.6 on a Ryzen 7 2700: 60 interleaved runs after 5 warmups. Command output was byte-identical.

0.2.2 0.3.6
--help 9.87 ms 6.74 ms (−32%)
telemetry status --json 5.40 ms 5.02 ms
update --check --json 29.1 ms 27.8 ms (noise)
auth-bench, per process 100.7 ms 101.2 ms (noise)
Binary size 3.92 MB 5.57 MB
Binary size, gzip 1.68 MB 2.35 MB
Peak RSS, CLI commands 5.2 MB 6.1 MB
Warm --tests build 21.5 s 26.8 s

Startup got faster. The binary is about 40% larger, and builds take about 25% longer. The macOS numbers in bench/ weren't rerun.

The upstream release covers the dyn-promise linking fix, so the patch
shrinks to the Headers fix and a new fix: since 0.2.7, boxing a function
that takes URLSearchParams into unknown crashes the compiler in dynDesc.
Both bugs still reproduce on Scriptc main.

The release-age exclusions let a frozen install accept the 0.3.6
packages before they are a day old.

📝 Summary

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • Fixed a compiler crash involving functions that accept URLSearchParams when the value is treated as unknown.
    • Improved handling of dynamic calls to native methods, including methods declared as read-only function properties.
  • Updates
    • Updated the CLI to use Scriptc 0.3.6.

The CLI compiler dependency and workspace patch configuration now use Scriptc 0.3.6. The compiler patch changed, the 0.2.2 patch was removed, and related CLI references were updated.

The CLI dependency and workspace configuration now select compiler version 0.3.6 and its patch. The new patch excludes standard-library symbols from dynamic receiver property detection and maps searchParams to URLSearchParams. The previous patch, including its recursive promise detection, was removed.

Verify the documented glibc 2.34 minimum.

The Linux builds target glibc 2.36, but this line says the 0.3.6 executable runs with glibc 2.34. If either packaged executable requires a newer glibc symbol, users on glibc 2.34 cannot launch it. Check both packaged Linux executables on a glibc 2.34 host, then adjust the claim or build target if needed.

Comment thread packages/cli/package.json
Scriptc 0.3.0 removed --dynamic, so build:native:dynamic now fails with
"Unknown option '--dynamic'".
