Adds an inth vendor group to @inth/cli:

  • inth vendor list --project <project-id> [--state <state>] lists vendors seen on a project, showing name, category (or "Uncategorized"), state, review state, and vendor ID. --state takes active, not_seen_recently, ignored, approved, or blocked. The list pages like the other list commands.
  • inth vendor get <vendor-id> --project <project-id> reads one vendor: category, state, review state, hosts, last seen, what loaded it (a script URL, a Google Tag Manager container, or "Unknown"), and its open Inbox finding (or "None").
  • inth vendor approve <vendor-id> --project <project-id> accepts the vendor. The API resolves the vendor's runtime Inbox finding, if one exists.
  • inth vendor ignore <vendor-id> --project <project-id> ignores the vendor. The API dismisses the finding.

Approve and ignore print the vendor's name, its new state, its review state, and the Inbox finding they closed, or "None". --json returns the API response as is. Running the same decision twice changes nothing.

inth inbox get now shows the vendor behind a runtime finding: name, vendor ID, project ID, state, and what loaded it. Those IDs are what the vendor commands take.

The group is vendor, singular, like project and member.

API

  • GET /v1/projects/:projectId/vendors?state=&limit=&cursor=
  • GET /v1/projects/:projectId/vendors/:vendorId
  • POST /v1/projects/:projectId/vendors/:vendorId/decision with body {"decision":"approve"} or {"decision":"ignore"}

Both IDs are URL-encoded, and . and .. are refused as IDs. None of these commands accept --organization, and approve and ignore don't accept --data.

Do not release before the API supports it

The routes and the vendors.write scope aren't live in the API yet. This PR adds vendors.write to the fixed scope list that inth login requests. The inth-cli OAuth client refuses a request that names a scope it doesn't have. A release before the API ships them would make every inth login fail with invalid_scope, not just the new commands. Merging is fine. Hold the release.

Auth

  • vendor list and vendor get need projects.read. Browser sign-ins, agent sign-ins, and organization API keys all work.
  • vendor approve and vendor ignore need a person session (browser or agent sign-in) with vendors.write and an admin or owner role on the organization. Organization API keys are refused with insufficient_scope, and the command metadata marks both commands browser-or-agent.
  • A member who tries a decision gets 403 (access_denied). An unknown project or vendor gets 404.
  • Existing sign-ins don't have vendors.write. Users need to run inth login again. The changelog says so.

Tested

  • pnpm test:unit: 50 files, 816 tests pass. New cases:
    • Request building: list with state and the default page size, get with encoded IDs, missing --project, missing ID, --organization, --project .., and --data.
    • Output formatting: the vendor list, vendor get, a vendor whose load source is unknown, approve with the vendor name, ignore with no Inbox finding, and the vendor in inth inbox get, including a vendor loaded more than one way.
    • Command metadata: scopes, auth modes, and options for all four commands.
    • Error reporting for a 403 INSUFFICIENT_SCOPE and a 403 FORBIDDEN.
  • pnpm typecheck, pnpm lint, pnpm format, and pnpm docs:check pass.

Not verified

  • The native Scriptc suite (pnpm --filter @inth/cli test) passed on the first commit. It didn't run on the latest one because cmake isn't installed on the machine I used. CI runs it.
  • No request against a live API. The routes aren't deployed, so the response shapes come from the API's handler code, not from real responses.
  • No real inth login against a server that grants vendors.write.
  • The 403 and 404 cases are mocked, not real server responses.

📝 Summary

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added CLI commands to list and inspect vendors found in project scans, and approve or ignore them using project and vendor IDs.
    • Vendor decisions persist across later scans and close the associated Inbox finding. CLI output shows decision, finding details, and detected data sources when available.
  • Documentation
    • Updated CLI guidance with command usage, permissions, required sign-in scopes, and refreshed authentication requirements.
    • Organization API keys cannot approve or ignore vendors; browser sessions or authorized agent connections are required.

The CLI adds project-scoped vendor listing, details, approval, and ignore commands. Authorization, request construction, output schemas, formatting, tests, and documentation now cover vendor decisions and related Inbox findings.

Changes: Vendor decision workflow

Layer / File(s) Summary
Vendor authorization and command metadata
packages/cli/src/auth-types.ts, packages/cli/src/command-metadata.ts, packages/cli/docs/authentication.md, docs/cli/authentication.mdx, docs/cli/automation.mdx, packages/cli/AGENT-USAGE.md, packages/cli/README.md, docs/cli/commands.mdx, .tegami/2026-10-18-vendor-decisions.md
The CLI adds the vendors.write capability and updates sign-in scopes and authorization guidance. Vendor reads use projects.read; vendor decisions require vendors.write and a person’s authorized sign-in.
Vendor commands and decision requests
packages/cli/src/resource-commands.ts, packages/cli/src/command-metadata.ts, packages/cli/src/help.ts, packages/cli/test/fixtures/resource-requests.ts, packages/cli/test/resource-commands.test.ts, packages/cli/test/cli-experience.test.ts
The CLI adds vendor list, get, approve, and ignore commands. Decision requests use fixed bodies and URL-encoded project paths. Validation, metadata, request construction, and refused-decision handling are tested.
Vendor and Inbox output
packages/cli/src/resource-output-types.ts, packages/cli/experiments/node/resource-output.ts, packages/cli/src/resource-output.ts, packages/cli/test/fixtures/resource-output.ts, packages/cli/test/resource-output.test.ts
Output schemas and formatting now include vendor identity, state, evidence, loader sources, decision results, and related Inbox findings. Tests cover vendor details, decisions, and runtime finding output.

The change adds vendor commands and vendor details in Inbox output. The latest increment keeps script URLs visible when a Tag Manager container ID is unknown. No actionable merge-blocking risk remains in the reviewed change. The API routes and scope must be deployed before release, as the PR notes.
