Swift-Hohenberg-stability

This code is written by Hannah Pieper and accompanies the dissertation "Spectral Stability via the Maslov Index and Computer Assisted Proofs" by Hannah Pieper.

Subdirectories

exploratory work: Contains scripts for exploratory work that is not included in the dissertation.

results: Contains scripts for the results that are included in the dissertation.

source: Contains the source code that generates the results presented in the dissertation as well as some exploratory work. The first 3 modules, Fourier Series, Pulse Solution, and Conjugate Points generate the results presented in Part 1. The remaining modules contain the results and exploratory work discussed in Part 2 of the dissertation. See this README.md for a more thorough description of the modules.

test: Contains some unit tests to check the code.

This code requires Matlab, the Optimization Toolbox Add-On and the Chebfun Package.
