Summary

This PR significantly streamlines the project documentation by condensing the verbose README into a concise, practical guide while extracting detailed AI usage information into a dedicated document.

Changes

  • README.md: Reduced from 280 lines to 50 lines

    • Removed extensive marketing language and technical deep-dives
    • Kept essential information: project description, architecture overview, quick start instructions, and local development setup
    • Simplified technology justifications and metrics tables
    • Removed redundant sections on challenges solved and correctness guarantees
    • Moved AI usage disclosure to separate file
  • AI_USAGE.md (new file): Created dedicated document

    • Extracted comprehensive AI usage details from README
    • Maintains full transparency on which tasks used Claude and which didn't
    • Provides context on supervision and verification practices

Rationale

The original README was overly verbose for a technical project, mixing marketing narrative with implementation details. This change prioritizes:

  • Clarity: New users can quickly understand what the project does and how to run it
  • Maintainability: Shorter README is easier to keep up-to-date
  • Transparency: AI usage is still fully documented but in a dedicated, discoverable location
  • Professionalism: Separates project documentation from meta-commentary

The condensed README maintains all critical information while improving readability and reducing cognitive load.

Replace the portfolio-style writeup with a concise architecture
overview and quick start, in line with other repos. Move the AI usage
notes into their own AI_USAGE.md.
