Hi. Unfortunately, the community hasn't developed yet, so there's no forum or anything similar.
Regarding your question, when connected via USB to a PC while holding down the button, the STM32 always enters bootloader mode (regardless of whether it has any firmware installed). Therefore, you should see a new USB device called "STM32 Bootloader" in Device Manager. This will indicate that the STM32 has started.

Thanks for the reply! The problem turned out to be that the seller sent me an STM32 clone disguised as the original chip, which was relabeled. I've now ordered the original, and I hope everything works out. Thank you for your project, I'll be following its development.

Unfortunately, I'm experiencing the same problem as the commenter above. After successfully flashing the bootloader, the system recognizes the cartridge, but doesn't open it as a storage device. It simply displays it as a USB device. Can you help? I've tried flashing it with both the new and old bootloaders, and the result is the same.

Does the LED blink when connected via USB? If so, the bootloader has started. What operating system are you using?

Yes, the LED is blinking. Windows 10. The device shows up in Device Manager as libusb-win32 devices and FC flash card. Once, during the first firmware update, a drive window opened with two text files. But I couldn't copy the firmware there; I got an "unknown path" error. So, it recognized it once, but couldn't read or write to the device. I checked the soldering under a microscope, and there were no solders. I have no idea where to look.

For all that, the bootloader works perfectly. When the button is pressed, it detects the STM32 BOOTLOADER and flashes the bootloader. However, it does not allow the firmware to be loaded.

Unfortunately, I don't have a Windows PC for full testing. I can only test it in a virtual machine. Try the latest version 0.3(69ebeb5). The virtual drive should work more reliably under Windows. Re-flash the bootloader. After you successfully flash the uf2 firmware, the LED should start glowing steadily. This means the flashing was successful. Also, after reconnecting the USB, you should see valid component versions in the version.txt file. Then you can insert an SD card (with an SD card inserted, the main firmware loads. Without an SD card, the bootloader always loads) and test the cartridge on the console.
