Grid view for sorted folders

Currently the grid view is only visible when you select no sorting option (which is weird because they do end up sorted, just in a view that may not make sense to humans), which is a shame because i really like it as it shows a lot more things in one glance.
Please allow grid view for ether sorting options in the future.

Sorry, I don't think I get what you want. Please provide example to illustrate your issue

Sorry, reading it back it is indeel a bit unclear !
This is what the Folder view looks like when unsorted:

The folders are shown in a grid and are not separated by date separators or letter separators.

Now this is what it looks like in Last Modified order:

It is still in a grid, but folders are separated by screen-long separators with the date on it.
This is fine but i'd prefer Last Modified and Name ordering to not feature these separators, and instead to show the folder in unseparated grid view, like they appear when unsorted. I prefer that because it shows more folers at once without having to scroll.

Is it more understandable ?
