This project explores how large environmental datasets can be transformed into a visual narrative through graphic design.
The objective was to represent global CO₂ emissions information in a way that makes complex numbers easier to understand and creates awareness about climate change.
Using data research and visual communication principles, this project analyzes countries with populations above 5 million people and compares their contribution to global CO₂ emissions.
The project involved researching and analyzing:
- World population data by country
- Countries with more than 5 million inhabitants
- CO₂ emissions levels between 2020 and 2024
- Countries with the highest contribution to global emissions
The information was organized and transformed into a visual composition designed to communicate environmental impact.
Adobe Illustrator was used as the main design tool to create the visualization.
The focus was on:
- Information hierarchy
- Typography
- Composition
- Vector illustration
- Color communication
- Data storytelling
The goal was not only to present numbers, but to create a visual experience that encourages reflection about humanity's impact on the planet.
