Control for repro A: identical injected regression, plus the one-line workflow change (call bash scripts/bench-regress.sh check instead of make bench-check) so the script's documented exit codes reach the workflow. Expected: job FAILS with 'FAIL — regression detected vs baseline main' and uploads the criterion report artifact.
