[BUG] eopkg info needs longer right after eopkg dc

Description

If you run eopkg info for an installed package, eopkg info spits out package information for a) the installed version and b) for the version found in repo.
Usually, a) and b) appear right after one another, basically in the same instant.
However, if you run sudo eopkg dc and then eopkg info, a) still appears right away, but b) is delayed by up to several seconds. This delay persists until any eopkg operation is run e.g. sudo eopkg it --reinstall nano

Steps to reproduce

1. run eopkg info nano
2. observe output --> b) right away
3. run sudo eopkg dc
4. run eopkg info nano
5. observe output --> b) delayed
6. run sudo eopkg it --reinstall nano
7. run eopkg info nano
8. observe output --> b) right away

Expected result

There should be no delay for b) after sudo eopkg dc I guess?

yeah this is expected. delete-cache also deletes the pickle caches which means that eopkg will read from the raw .xml files on disk instead.

Any sort of "privileged" operation e.g. install/remove/upgrade will regenerate the caches.

You can also run update-repo --force to regenerate the caches.

Thanks for clarifying! Just for my understanding: Is there a specific reason why read-only operations like eopkg info don't automatically regenerate the pickle cache on the fly when it's missing?

You typically need root which most operations don't need. Possibly we could prompt to do it in some way.
