Behaviour

The comment on #26 after PR #31 merged listed the report skill's paths that no eval or manual run had exercised. Two have been checked since; the rest have not:

• Decision mode through the AskUserQuestion tool: checked 2026-10-16 while working Spike: should implement-spec own per-wave commits at spec cadence? #24, the decision report ended in the tool call with its options.
• Answer mode: checked 2026-10-16, same session, on a why question.
• Status mode: not checked.
• A rewrite of a real last message, the author typing /freethinking:report with nothing happened since: not checked.
• The three skills' hand-offs in a live run with the author present: bugfix to pr, start-task to pr, implement-spec to pr: not checked. implement-spec: write the hand-back inline, not in a fork #33 changes how implement-spec writes its hand-back, so check that one after implement-spec: write the hand-back inline, not in a fork #33 merges.

Run each by hand and record on this issue what was seen, quoting the Message. A path that misbehaves becomes its own bug.

Grading

Manual. These are paths an eval cannot drive without #28's legged cases, which is why they are checked by hand.

Prompt

For status: ask "what is going on" mid-task. For the rewrite: type /freethinking:report after any hand-back. For the hand-offs: a scratch issue on the calc fixture, answering in the tool.
